Campground was kept up very nice. The springs area looked run down and in need of some maintenance. It's always a pleasure to camp there !

Park was ok. Nice employees at the gate. Didn't appreciate the leaf blower at 9 AM on a Friday morning. Filled up quick on the weekend. Not a lot of space between lots. Spring was nice to visit off season but I imagine it is crazy tight during summer. Only a pizza place in the town. Long drive to next town.

Good get away in the middle of the forest. Large sites, full hookups and great staff.

I'M 58 YEARS OLD, AND I RIDE A STREET LEGAL MOTORCYCLE, I HAD TO PUSH IT TO THE GATE. 1 MILE. THE TRAILS ARE NEXT TO THE PARK, RIDICULOUS. AND THEY CHARGED ME FOR HAVING IT THERE CAUSE IT HAD A LICENSE PLATE.
While the sites were a little close together, there was a group of us so we enjoyed congregating in the middle of our group. Because the road between the rows is narrow, it was a bit difficult to back our 37' fifth wheel into our site. And since they ask that you not park on the grass, the paved area at each site needs to be about a foot wider to accommodate the tow vehicles. BUT we enjoyed the facility. Despite it being completely booked, it was still quiet at night, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we will return.

I love Salt Springs! I do have a negative that I feel is not the right thing to do. When a guest stays at the campground, and you have now raised the cost of camping, which is high to me, they should be allowed to drive to the springs and park in your large parking lots. It is a long distance to walk from the campground to the springs, which is completely ridiculous. I have bad knees so it is not convenient. They say that the day guests are the only ones allowed to park at the springs and that the campsite is our parking space. It is way too far to walk or even ride a bike when you are up in age. You need to change this rule back to the way it used to be and allow the campers to drive to the springs! We pay to camp and should be allowed to park in the other lots. Please check into this. I have a trip booked there in June and there is no way in the summer heat that you can walk or ride a bike to the springs, I hope this rule is changed by then.

Salt springs is a consistently fine campground. We love the spring for the kayaks, and riding our bikes. The facilities are up to par, and the personnel are friendly.

The best of the best! Lots of grass and space between sites, well-kept grounds, friendly staff... Will be back next year for another long stay!!
