The only negative I have about this park is the lack of heat in the showers. Granted, most of the time heat is not needed, but when it's 40 degrees...The springs were gorgeous, and the rest of the park was too.

We love this Park and Campground. Most sites are very well laid out allowing for space and privacy. The bathrooms and showers are kept very clean. Every one of the Staff we interacted with were exceptional, especially Jessica. We look forward to staying here again!

The bath houses only have hot water. When you take a shower you almost get burned the wither is so hot. I complained to the Camp Host & Rangers and was told there was nothing they can do that the water comes out of the ground that way. Thats crazy, if you have regular water temp going to the campsites you can have it go to the bath house.

The front gate process was quick and polite.However;..The clean up crew were on a power trip. They jumped at the opportunity to enforce any rule infraction. Their aggressive police officer attitude of questioning was over the top. I will not return.

This is a park like campground with FHU. Other than the springs there isnt much to do in the park. The only downside of the campground are the bathrooms. They are clean but there arent windows just screened openings and there are industrial fans that run almost all of the time. If its not warm outside this can make for a very chilly shower experience!

Do not go to Salt Springs. Its under new management and they are horrible. My family has been going to Salt Springs for over 60 years but we will never go back after our trip. Avoid Salt Springs and go to ANY other spring if you can.

Do not like private enterprise running park, why must they charge seniors for electric so they can get an extra $5 bucks

Overall the campground is clean and well maintained. The issue at hand is the workers and staff. During our stay the staff or "contractors" had children at their site which were left alone hours on end. The little children of the workers would wander by themselves into people's sites and in front of traffic. There is also construction going on which wasn't advertised and many campers had to complain as the construction started right next to their site without warning. Our site was also very unlevel and when it rained, all the water would go towards the front of the camper instead of away. The workers at the front desk were nice but the ones doing work in the camp were just rude and inconsiderate. I hope after the construction is over it goes back to how it used to be.

The springs are great! Manatees! The park rangers were super friendly and the park and bathrooms were clean. Only complaint was loud motion-activated fans in bathrooms that bothered us at our campsite. Stayed on site #6.

Very nice. Wifi coverage is available since there is no cell service. Wifi is stronger near restrooms. Salt Springs has a beautiful spring fed pool and lakefront. It is convenient to many attractions. We drove to Blue Springs State Park and got to see the manatees.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Salt Springs. We visited "Devils Millhopper Geological State Park". It is a large sink hole with its own rainforest that has 132 steps leading down to near the bottom. On another day, we headed into Gainesville's Oaks Mall, and had a wonderful lunch at Red Robbin. On our last day at Salt Springs, we hiked a couple of trails and went down to the springs. At the springs, we watched people swim in the cool water (72 degrees) and enjoyed watching all the blue crabs swim and gather just under the surface of the water. The blue crabs were beautiful when the sun shined on them. We hope to visit again in the near future.
