Park is beautiful and staff is always very friendly and helpful. Easily one of the cleanest and best maintained parks in Florida.

The two women at the gate gave us a very friendly welcome, got us quickly checked in, and were exceptionally pleasant from our previous experiences. They should be commended for their attitudes and professionalism. The campground and site were also very clean and neat. We didnt see any trash, the site was in order, and we had a pleasant stay. Well done!

Campground had full hookups. Wide open, no foliage in-between campsites. However it was quiet. Salt springs was wonderful! Small town with a laundromat and restaurant across the street

This was the quietest, most relaxing stay at a Federal Recreation area we have experienced. While not isolated, the RV full hook-up sites were nicely distanced from each other. The sites all backed up to an open meadow, just beyond the nice, deep fire pit. It was like having your own back yard. The clearing there afforded a great view of the night sky; while the trees along side the sites gave nice shade for the daytime. The pads were paved and very level; no need for levelers. The restrooms were nicely spaced and maintained immaculately. The springs were amazing and on these weekdays in winter, hardly anyone was there. Great for snorkeling and the variety of fish species was amazing. We will make this a frequent place to get away for extensive periods in future.

Doubled the cost for camping since COVID and no upkeep of the grounds.The wood stairs to enter the spring are rotted and blocked off from use. What about Handicap access?We stayed from June 29th to July 7th. The grass wasn't cut when we arrived. I have a small dog, and it was difficult for him to walk through the tall grass to do his business and then to have to pick it up was also difficult.The bathrooms were not kept clean. The first night, there was a toilet backed up and dirty shower stalls.I have been camping here for the past 40 years and I will NEVER camp here again!

Very clean restrooms and showers. Reservation Sites level. Some first come sites gravel but decent. The walk to the springs is pleasant and springs themselves entertaining when the mullet and blue crabs appear. . Manatees seen

Great quiet park during our stay. Last year we were able to get internet at the entrance building but this year they secured it so the campers could not access it. This is disappointing since they also raised their rates!

This park is THE cleanest park I have been in! The BR's are cleaned very often, are spotless. The park grounds are well maintained, there are multiple trash dumpsters available. All pads are paved, the handicapped are concrete. All of the staff we encountered are very friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable of the park!! Cactus Jack's is a hole in the wall joint BUT their "made to order" salads are awesome....using spring greens!! BBQ is "meh"....My only issue is with the shower heads in the handicapped stall. They are very small, immovable, & water stream is hard to get all over the body. There are 2, one lower, but difficult to use. Water temp difficult to adjust...mainly hot & hotter. A nozzle with a 8ft long hose attachment would be awesome. That way, one can sit on bench & shower more easily!!

We very much enjoy our trips to the Salt Springs Rec. area except for the cleanliness and maintenance of the bathroom areas. On this last trip a shower that was running last summer was still running this year. For 3 days there was dried on feces on the walls of one stall, there was dirt and cobwebs on the entrance door, ceiling and walls, a dead bug was on the floor of one shower for 3 days. I called American Land and Leisure and the shower was turned off shortly thereafter only to start running again the next day. An employee was sent to clean the bathroom, what a joke, poop still on the walls, dirt and such still on door, walls and ceiling. She gave me some lame excuse that they were in the process of getting the areas power washed. We will see. There was also a ceiling fan that the blades had bent down almost 90 degrees last year and still hanging this year. The power ventilator was unplugged, it did work last year.There appears to be a gross lack of management at this area and should be investigated by the Forest Service. I think it is ridiculous you cant have a dog pen for our dogs. It is twice as bad to leave them tied up. Who came up with rule?

This is a great park. Unfortunately it rained the entire time we were there and we were unable to go to the springs. Front office staff very cordial and engaging but we didn't appreciate older male worker in cart coming to chastise us as we were 27 min late checking out -a little understanding would have been appreciated because we got a brand new rig and things were less familiar to us on this 1st trip out. He put bad taste in our mouth especially considering the ONLY cleanup before check in at 2PM for next campers would be to blow leave off pad as we obviously could have no campfire of sit out in rain for 3 days! Thant was 2.5 hours they would have vs 3! Really?!

We loved this campground !! Plenty of shade at each site. Plenty of room between each site. Clean restrooms/showers. You can walk to the Spring and swim so bring you bathing suit and inflatable float. We will be back for sure !!

My campsite was wonderful! The bathrooms were very clean and the hosts/managers were very helpful! The rangers and staff at the check in station were also helpful and informative! I plan on visiting again!
