One of our favorite parks. It is always clean and well groomed. The only complaint we have is their check in policy. Even if the site is empty and you arrive alittle early, they make you wait till 2pm check in. However first come first serve sites can check in anytime.

It is affordable and the sites are open enough to where you are not on top of another site. Plenty of room....

Staff needs to learn how to approach customers nicely about rules. Never saw any of them smile at anyone. No parking at swim area if you camp there? Ridiculous! Check out changed from 1pm To 11am and then if you want to clean up your site and go to swim before leaving you have to pay? Prices to high already. My family has camped here for generations we had 4 sites. This is our last trip to Salt springs too many nicer parks for a better price.

We enjoy this park. Its getting very hard to find places to stay without your requirement of 6 month advance reservation. Florida State Parks are 11 month advance reservations. You limit the stay to 14 days. This is the first year that this park was not full. When we left there were 21 vacant sites in first come first serve. Who benefits when there are vacant sites? No one. There must be some consideration for these unoccupied sites. You loose revenue we loose a campsite. Its now $65 per night with a 2 night minimum without a senior pass. How does a family afford to camp? Try to find a nice park anywhere in Florida for a two week stay without a reservation. Its nearly impossible. Add to that older campers like us get online within a minute of them opening on the website and the sites are gone. This is where first come first serve is great. I just wish we did not have to leave with available sites unoccupied. Thanks for letting me complain. Love this park hate the rules.

Very nice campground, the springs are lovely. We visited Silver Springs State Park and rode the glass bottom boats.

This was our first time camping at Salt Springs with our 33’ travel trailer. It was a beautiful campground!! Super spacious campsites and really taken care of facilities. We loved the Spring!! We brought our kiddos and had lots of places to ride our bikes and go for walks. Two things we would recommend are adding a nice playground for the kiddos and allowing campers to drive to the Springs (vs. walking) on the weekend.
