Outstanding campground! Loved the proximity to the lake, and the walking trails. Terrific views, and very nice campsite. Would definitely recommend this.

Beautiful area. It was peaceful & relaxing. No showers or flush toilets.

Beautiful park with easy lake access. Nice walking paths and excellent view of the mountain. I really do enjoy this park. Parking can be very challenging in the summer, so good to keep that in mind if going on a busy day.Bathrooms are stinky and gross, which is really the only negative aspect of this park.

Beautiful lake n roomy campgrounds. Had a great time swimming/kayaking and walking the loop trail. Clean toilets/carry extra toilet paper.

Had a lovely time as usual, swimming in the lake, and camping in the clean and private campsites. The only thing that I wish was different is better signage that the loop trail was closed at a section for maintenance. I made the mistake of thinking that the blue arrow trail near the closed section was an alternate trail to the loop. After 10 or 15 minutes I realized I needed to turn around and go back the way I came. It was getting dark and I had to get back to the loop trail, and go all the way back to camp the way I came. A small note that said, 'please turn around and go back the way you came', would have been more clear. I was not the only person who took the other trail thinking it would get us back to camp, so it was stressful. I have a bad back and the extra long walk exhausted me. Im glad I brought water! Thanks for an otherwise great weekend.Jennifer Collins

This campground is amazing! I was very happy with my spot and the time on the lake was breathtaking! My spot was a couple deep away from the lake and I think that worked out perfectly. There is a trail that goes around the lake and if you get a spot that is as close to the lake as possible, you are basically on that trail. Being a couple spots deep felt like there was no one near us. Especially nice since you cant hear the lake either and it can get super busy. The campsites are spaced out well and I liked that the campground has its own ramp access with parking. While we were there, there was a fire ban so unfortunately couldnt use the very nice looking fire pit. The bathroom was pretty decent for what it is. Everything else was perfect and it was a great time!We also went over to rent kayaks which was nice and easy. The lake wasnt too cold so we also swam a bit in it. The only slight negative to the day use side of the lake was that there was so many influencers. It didnt bother me much at all but it was definitely noticeable. The amazing views make sense for it as well.

Breathtaking views, clean campsites, and memories to last a lifetime. Our family had an amazing time, and we'll definitely be back!

A large and popular campground, but the sites are wooded and quiet - private. The lake is the big attraction and it can be full of day hoppers, but there's still room for everyone. The restrooms were clean, as was the whole campground. Friendly staff.

We have been going to Trillium for 40 years. It saddens me to see how "overused" this lake has become. Boom boxes on paddle boards seriously? Rentals should not be allowed. Entry to day use strictly limited. Perhaps reservations for day use like Multnomah Falls. The water in the lake was actually brown - ick. However, the campsite was clean and the pit toilets well maintained. Hosts should be more visible. As we were leaving at 7am one of the groups had a fire so much for honoring our national forest!! Let's do better next season.

Huge yurt! Three bunk beds and a futon give plenty of space to stretch out. There's no electric lighting or plug-ins, but that adds to the charm. The gas stove kept the worst of the cold out and was relatively straightforward to figure out. No showers but the bathroom was kept in stock. Beautiful place to spend a summer weekend.

I had made reservations for 3 different sites for each of the 3 days there. On the first day I was made aware that one site was available for the following 2 nights. So I reached out to a camp host to request a reservation for the available site so I would not have to switch sites 3 times like I originally reserved. He said no and blamed upper level management, which is you, for not allowing the camp host to accommodate these changes. I have a 1 year old baby and would have appreciated being able to stay at a site nearby my family without moving out each day. Then, I was informed that the camp host has the ability to accommodate the request I had made, but chose not to and were unwilling to work with me to make this stay a pleasant one for me. No offense, but I spent hundreds of dollars on the reservations and this feels like a poor return of my investment. Even I was willing to pay extra to cover the new reservation.

Beautiful camp site (27). Though fully occupied, loop was VERY quiet for peak season (early Aug). Lots of butterflies, huckleberries, dragonflies. Restrooms and dumpster had been services appropriately. Only draw back was part of lake trail was closed for repair and there was no signage to indicate until at the closure point.Overall great experience, look forward to coming back soon.

Trillium is a beautiful campground with private sites. (we had site 17) You can see the awesome reflection of Mt. Hood on the lake. The campsite is adjacent to the 2 mile loop trail around the lake. Negatives are that there are only pit toilets and no hook-ups. Also the day use area is very crowded but they control entry for day-users, so we went down to the lake early in the morning or in the evening. The other issue was that on weekends you had to rent both Friday and Saturday nights which didn't match our schedule exactly, so we rented both nights but did not show up till Saturday which was OK as long as you let them know

The Yurt was a large space that a group of people could stay comfortably and enjoy an evening playing games or looking at the stars.

I will start by saying we have been going to Trillium Lake for over 20 years. The campground and lake are fabulous even though there are no hookups for my trailer. The paddleboarding and kayaking are phenomenal. It's sad it has gotten too crowded and the fishing is not like it used to be but we still had a wonderful week.Having said that I must report a very negative experience involving the main camp host in space #1. He came to our campsite and confronted us about some paper plates in our fire pit. I had put them there to act as firestarters on Monday of that week. On Thursday of that week a fire ban was put on the whole region. He asked me what I was going to do with the plates. I asked if I could just burn them and he said no and that I would have to get them out. I said OK and as he left he said if I violated the rules again I would be told to leave. I said "excuse me, I don't need to be threatened and that he should show some respect and manners. He said I was arguing with him and my wife and I both said we were not arguing. Five minutes after he left I cleaned the plates out. The next day he left a note on my truck that accused me of starting a fire the previous night which we did not do. His note was extremely rude and said we were to leave by noon. We immediately went to his space and he came out extremely angry and again accused us of having a fire. I said we never started a fire and he said I was lying. Then he proceeded to use extremely fowl language and started dropping F-bombs on us. He told us loudly in our face to Leave Now!! I told him I wouldn't and go ahead and call the police...I would love for them to come. We then sat down and discussed it and he finally believed us and said we could stay. We left two hours later. I didn't want to be there anymore. I am 79 years old and have been camping most of my life. I have NEVER been treated like that. This camp host has no business working with the public. He's a very angry rude person. Will never go

Trillium is great and super well managed and well maintained. My only complaint is how hard it is to get a site and then seeing how many people don't show up for their reservations.

Arrived at sunset on a Wednesday night in July. Easy to find our campsite. Park staff were present around supporting other campers. Bathrooms were easily accessible to our camp site, and clean (even had air fresher in there!) Trail around the lake was, as always, well maintained due to it's frequent use. Sunset from the lake's deck is always a must when I stop by Trillium. In years past I often avoid this campground due to it's busyness, but camping on a Wednesday (even in the summer months), the campground was unbelievably quiet and serene. Thank you to the Park Service Employees for making Trillium a magical place for all to enjoy.

So, the only issue I have with the Forest Service is that they provided me with inaccurate information, and their website doesnt offer sufficient details. A ranger informed me that we could purchase a Northwest day pass for concessionaire-run day-use areas. We did so in advance and arrived to discover that the purchase was useless according to the Alaska Recreational Management (ARM). Interestingly, the ARM website didnt mention this, but two car passes were increased in my reservation, meaning I didnt even need any extra pass and wasted money based on the Forest Services guidance.Its worth noting that many concession fan sites wont accept national agency passes like the All-American Pass, regardless of whether its for veterans, seniors, or disabled cardholders. This makes the pass program somewhat pointless since the Forest Service has privatized much of its operations. ARM runs a clean campgrounds and the staff were super friendly.

A popular but well run CG. You will definitely want to reserve your site well in advance especially if you plan on going during the weekend. Mt Hood is gorgeous!

Lovely campground that worked out so well for my first time in Mt Hood. Bathrooms were clean (pit toilets so bring hand sanitizer) and our site allowed for easy access to trail around the lake.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
