Ive come up before and its been great. The folks there came and yelled at us about the fire being too big in front of our small children. We were there after the burn ban had been lifted. We never left the fire. We had tools and water. We were working to get a good coal bed before the very heavy rain came a few hours later. We removed the larger wood that was not yet on fire and doused it with gallons and gallons of water. They may have wanted us to douse the whole thing. Honestly Im not really sure. It was a good point that it was partially outside the small rusted out ring sitting atop the ground. We stopped adding to it and re-centered it inside the ring. I think it could have been handled much better especially in front of the children. It was very disappointing. I am and always have been a steward of the wilderness. Have a nice day.

Trillium campground was just as expected. Kayaking and swimming in the lake was great. Facilities were well kept.

Would have been better if staff would monitor day users from using camp sites and beaches. Way too crowded -possibly limit entries to a manageable number

Beautiful, quiet campground with great access to Trillium Lake. Campsites are carved into the tall pines, so every campsite has a lot of privacy.

Amazing scenic lake with rewarding rainbow fishing. Very spacious camp sites. It was nicely quiet during my stay and camp hosts were pleasant and helpful. Top of my list for camping and fishing.

The day use area at this campground gets pretty heavy use. I does get crowded around the campsites near the lake. The upside is you'll get wonderful views of Mt. Hood on the south side of the lake. Take your camera, if you hit it early without a breeze you'll get a great reflection of the mountain off the lake. I also saw some nice Rainbow Trout taken.
