We absolutely loved this camp ground and site #15. The toilets were not as bad as I thought they would be. They potholes everyone previously talked about in the reviews really were not that bad in our 24ft RV. This campground is very closed to Trillium Lake. Great location and very relaxing stay.

My tent site (023) was fine for one small tent. But, the campground as a whole was somewhat inconvenient due to a long walk to the closest vault toilet and water spigot. The toilet was orderly and clean, and the spigot worked fine. There were many many huge potholes in the campground drive.

We reserved our campsite a few weeks before. However, our reserved site was occupied by someone else. We either waste our time waiting for them to move or choose some other sites. We do not really have a choice.

Nice sites, spaces apart but some highway noise. Great WiFi. Closest into Mt Hood, over access, near lake and small town. Clean pit toilets. First lowed. A few random sketches but nothing stolen while we left for the day. Good for 2 nights, MTB, hikes, then headed to Columbia River waterfalls.

A Quite campground , well shaded, next to a small creek some road noises. Also central located on Mount Hood.

We love the campground. Its very quiet and no one causes any problems. However, the potholes in the road are extremely bad, especially if pulling a boat or RV so we would appreciate the road being repaired. Also, there were fireworks and gunshots going off on the fourth which terrified our dog and were alarming since they were so close. More patrols would be helpful

Located right on the old barlow road and Still Creek. Very pleasant campsite, main tent spot is recessed nicely into the ground. Great signal. Potholes in bunches on the road out. Biggest annoyances were the amount of mosquitoes and the sound of trucks coming down 26.

This is a fairly private site that sits next to Still Creek. You can really only see one other site nearby. The sound of the creek masks out much (but not all) of the traffic sounds on HWY 26. There are a couple of private spots to dip your toes in the creek on a hot day... definitely a bonus. The only thing I'd caution is that the ground isn't completely flat for a tent. You can make it work, but it's not perfect. I have a rooftop tent and parked on the driveway (which is fairly short). Again, not ideal. But that's the tradeoff for a beautiful site. The restrooms were clean and the camp host was friendly and attentive. I'll try to come back in the fall.

Close to Trillium. Quiet and clean.

The campsite was very large. Very little noise from the other campers. The toilet was "clean" for an outhouse, toilet paper was always stocked. I would definitely camp here again.

The campground loop has some pretty big potholes. There were only a few bathrooms in the campground, and I was disappointed to find no shortcut trails leading to them so be prepared to walk if your site is not close. The creek is also quite loud from our campsite but that comes with booking near one. The service was on and off. Overall, the campground was good but not the best.
@ShirleyH920188 · Camped on Aug 9, 2024 at Campsite #23
There was no camp host or park employee who came around to check on us, even to verify we were to be at the site. This being said there was no hiking information. There was lots of toilet paper, showing many relieved in the areas around the campsites. The bathrooms did not appear to be cleaned while we were there and this was 2 nights and no air freshener was hung up to help cut the smell. I enjoy Mt. Hood and know the area well but if I were not I would not know the trails OR the fact that Trillium Lake was a walk away or to go to the meadow and see graves of pioneers, and there wasn't a write up about them. I know it is a primitive campground so can accept it as such but you asked for comments.

We had a great time at this campground! Our spot was #15, right on the creek which was super nice. The bathrooms are pit toilets and were as clean as could be. The nice surprise to this campground was the back road to Trillium Lake! We drove out the back side of the campground on the gravel road to enjoy the amazing views from the lake. there is a bit of history along the way about some settlers back in the day! The spots are very large and spacious. The road around the campground could definitely use some maintenance, so go slow the pot holes are large! Overall we would absolutely come back to this campground! Only 5 min from Government camp and the iconic Timberline Lodge is right up the road for dinner!

Do not like oregons campfire ban in a developed campsite. Undeveloped or back woods camping I understand. Should adopt californias campfire permit.

Great campground. Spacious sites. Fairly private with lots of trees and bushes around. There is road noise from the highway. Cars arent too bad but the semi trucks seemed to use their air brakes all night long.

Campground is gorgeous and quiet. Site right on the river. Very peaceful. However, the dumpsters were overflowing during our entire 3 night stay, and the bathrooms were in rough shape.

When I arrived at 10:15 pm there was a large van parked in my spot. I had to ask them to move and they said they didn't think I was coming so they took my spot. Other than that it was ok but I was annoyed they tried poaching a spot like that.

Very attractive, forested sites with a friendly and helpful host.
@JayM1341230 · Camped on Jul 1, 2024 at Campsite #7
Very remote and peaceful. Sites were very spacious and had a nice backcountry feel. Not really any highway noise
@EllenH5197529 · Camped on Jun 26, 2024 at Campsite #12
This campsite is situated very close to a main road and is very noisy. The road around the campsite is not maintained and is full of huge potholes. Other reviews do mention thieves and we did find that cars kept circling around the site and reversing back and forth (they did leave and nothing was taken). The site is also full of mosquitos. The vault toilets were also extremely small, unclean and with no hand sanitizer. We left without staying the night and cancelled the following night because of these issues.

We really wanted to like this campground. By all appearances it looks great. Campsite 16 is next to a stream with a waterfall. Campsites are amply spread apart, so we never heard our neighbors. The host had firewood for sale and kept the latrines stocked with toilet paper.But, this place is TERRIBLY LOUD from highway noise. Highway 26 curves by right next to the site. It's apparently a downhill stretch and semis were hitting their noisy air brakes even at 3 a.m. The traffic noise was bad at all hours and boomed over what should have been the soothing sounds of the stream. We will not be back.

Really pretty campground! Very sandy and lots of hornets though. Bring your own toilet paper!

Although the site location was nice when I arrived my reservation details were not on post. Had to chase someone out of the site. When the forest personnel finally came through next day I told them. They fixed it the day we were leaving. Trash receptacle overflowing and people were stopping at water Spicket across from site to bathe their dogs and bodies even though the sign said not to. Nobody around to enforce any rules.It appeared that these mostly were people leaving the back way from the lake. Otherwise, this campground is quiet compared to the one adjacent to the lake.

While the campground is right by the highway, it is relatively quiet. This site was okay. Tent spot was kinda small, even for just a two person tent. The parking spot was rough with rocks and tree trunks sticking out. Id recommend site 18 and 20 as they seem larger and youd have an easier time parking.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
