Dating back to the westward expansion, the Barlow Trail took early pioneers to Still Creek and then on to Oregon City or Portland area. Parts of the trail can still be found and hiked. The campsite was on Still Creek so the sound of running water made it even more enjoyable. Easy access though longer trailers (ours is 17 ft.) might be limited for some spaces. Its an older campground with mostly wooden structures for cover on the pit toilets though there is a new concrete ADA one. Quiet and peaceful, although we could hear truck traffic closer to the entrance, we didnt have that issue at our site. Well be back!!!

This is a fairly private site that sits next to Still Creek. You can really only see one other site nearby. The sound of the creek masks out much (but not all) of the traffic sounds on HWY 26. There are a couple of private spots to dip your toes in the creek on a hot day... definitely a bonus. The only thing I'd caution is that the ground isn't completely flat for a tent. You can make it work, but it's not perfect. I have a rooftop tent and parked on the driveway (which is fairly short). Again, not ideal. But that's the tradeoff for a beautiful site. The restrooms were clean and the camp host was friendly and attentive. I'll try to come back in the fall.

The campground loop has some pretty big potholes. There were only a few bathrooms in the campground, and I was disappointed to find no shortcut trails leading to them so be prepared to walk if your site is not close. The creek is also quite loud from our campsite but that comes with booking near one. The service was on and off. Overall, the campground was good but not the best.

Make sure to go down to the sandy beach behind site 13. Site 6 was a phenomenal site by the creek but horribly unlevel because the asphalt driveway is falling apart. The road throughout the campground is full of DEEP potholes. It really needs some serious maintenance work.

Great spot! We were next to the beautiful Mt. Hood fed creek. We had a very private camping spot. The camp hosts were very nice. We had ripe huckleberries growing right in our camp site and nearby! Great weekend.
