Stayed at the hike to site #11. 11 is smaller than the two hike to spots. The site was small but we were able to set up our 4 person tent. The hike from your car to the site is maybe 200 ft. The bathroom is located right across from where you park which is nice, vault toilets that were newer/recently remodeled so they were pretty clean. The beach area has two docks and a boat ramp which is closed to only guests camping at the campground. The views of Mt. Hood are beautiful. There are a few spots to go sit down by the lake.

It is a good facility, very well kept considering how busy; the hosts were excellent. there were an awful lot of dependence on generators that disappoint and spoil. actually needing to keep their gadgets charged, day or night. I was lucky to have a campfire right up until the last night permitted! Huckleberries were in supply. The lake water is cool, clear and appealing. I dare say clearer than my last trip to Hawaii-unspoiled here so far

We stayed in site 31 which is lakefront but sits back a ways from the trail which is nice if you want a bit more privacy. This site is huge and we loved the shade it provided most of the day. The hosts were amazing, kind and friendly and we appreciated them very much. Cell service was ok even in the campsite. Could send and receive texts most of the time and also make calls. The best reception is down by the dock. We had great weather. A small fire broke out a few miles away across the lake and we watched planes dip the water to put the fire out. It was a very interesting process and they got it out quickly. We had a great time at Hoodvoew.

Hosts were friendly and helpful and brought my firewood to my site and checked me in. They regularly made the rounds. Restrooms were clean and the campground and sites overall and the paved road to the campground all seemed well-maintained. Easy access to the lake and the fantastic loop hike around the lake. The trail was well-marked and also well-maintained. No negatives on my visit other than one noisy family at the next site over, but the rest of the sites throughout the campground called it a night or kept it down once quiet hours kicked in. Would stay here again.

Beautiful lake! The campground is very clean and well managed. It is crowded because it is so nice, but it never feels rowdy.

Terrible place! The view was nothing but a big rock sticking out over some water.Ugh.Ok, I kid, this place is stunning, bathrooms clean, campers only (no day use) so that was nice.Hosts, fabulous and kind.Youll have a terrible time.

The camp host was friendly, attentive and very helpful. Love that the majority of sites aren't packed in and are spaced out so it feels like you're not on top of other campers. Overall great stay and experience.

Far from the noisy streets and with an amazing Mt Hood and Lake view, one of the prettiest sunsets I have ever seem! The only thing missing is shower.

Love this campground. We stayed in 037 and it had a good flat pad for a big 10 person tent. Close to the water!

Weve been camping at Hoodview each summer for about 15 years, and its truly a highlight of the year. The campground is great, the bathrooms are clean, the hosts are lovely, and of course, the lake is wonderful. It can be tough to get a site, but if youre lucky enough to snag one, its an amazing place to spend a few days!

Absolutely amazing time, as always. Timothy lake is so beautiful. Clean bathrooms, clean park and really nice host, Steven. We had great time. Space 31 is lakefront but far enough back from the trail that you don't notice the bikers, bikers, etc. as of the time of our trip, campfirea in the pit we're allowed.

While the weather didnt fully cooperate, we made the best of the trip. The grounds are extremely clean and the hosts are super friendly. We will definitely be back to experience the campground when its sunny.

The Bathroom was kept clean and had hand sanitizer and plenty of toilet paper. The Camp host asked a nearby camper to reduce the volume on their music, and they complied. The camp host was very friendly.It had good trails, lots of places on the shore to put your kayak in the water. The lake had clean water.

Weve had a wonderful time in this campground. Warmer weather made it as we paddled and dip at the lake. Such peaceful view. Our site it closer to the vault toilets which is being maintained regularly. It gets smelly around 9pm until it gets cleaned again in the morning. Overall always clean! Drinking water faucet is also nearby. It was a fun camping. Wish quiet time is extended until 8am, people are very inconsiderate even in silence once 6am ticks they make all these noises banging car doors, talking, laughing, dogs barking etc. Rangers/Hosts were friendly and accommodating!
@CraigS2150196 · Camped on May 30, 2025 at Campsite #31
Great campground! Site 31 is huge, although there are only a few flat sites to pitch tents. Site 31 has access to the lake, wonderful views of Mt Hood, solid privacy, is close to a water station, and not far from the bathrooms. The camp hosts are also incredibly friendly and helpful. Plus cellular coverage is strong. I can't wait to return.

This is a hike in site that is at the end of a trail with a slight incline and it passes two other sites. You will have to walk all of your equipment to the site! The site itself is small and will fit a 4 person tent max, even then it is very close to the fire pit. It is also near the highway - you can hear the cars drive and people will also park there and walk down to the lake. Pros is that its secluded from other sites and a short walk down a hill to the lakeshore and the lake trail. Overall great location with a few quirks!

This was our second trip to this campground. Weve had an excellent time both times. The toilets being so clean is one highlight for us. Another is the condition of the lake - beautiful. The camp hosts are awesome too! Thanks for another great stay, Jim and Linda!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
