Ray Behrens Campground in Monroe County is located 55 min southwest of Quincy, IL with an elevation of 687 feet. There are a total of 166 campsites including 1 tent-only site. The campground is normally open from the end of March to mid November. 165 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 32 and 107 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 60 sites have electric and water hookups. 106 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $24.00 to $30.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, accessible, boat ramp, fish cleaning station, restroom, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Good distance between sites. It was clean and the picnic table and fire pit area were graveled and and flat. Pad for RV was paved.

This is my second stay here and is a go to campground when in the area. Clean, well spaced sites and one of the few that I actually use the shower house. Full 1 room bathroom with shower that locks, I love that one can actually have privacy. Nice hot water and decent pressure. I was so happy here that I had to change sites to stay a second week instead of moving to Indian Creek. After a drive through it looked like a nice park but a little too far away from anything. Full hookups are wonderful. I made a few trips into Hannibal, 40 minute drive and really enjoyed visiting the area and the Mark Twain River Boat cruise. The gas station just up the road refills propane at a very reasonable price and has a small laundromat inside. Very good cell service and plenty of ota TV channels. Peaceful and quiet, everyone respected the 10 pm quiet time even when they were pretty full on the weekends. The gate attendant that I dealt with was very helpful also. This is a beautiful wooded site. They were bringing in black dirt and seeding areas around some sites earlier in the week, it's a park like setting. Absolutely love this campground

Site was not as well kept as in years past. Asphalt pad was in poor shape. Many of the sites had been grated recently so not much green space. With recent rain made for very muddy places.

Site is very unlevel from side to side. Used all of our leveling materials and still had 18 step down from last step on stairs. Very well maintained park, will visit again, just never on this site.

Good facilities, kept up well. Cell service is excellent(Verizon). Dump station is easy access.

We liked our campsite and appreciated the spacing between sites. We definitely liked the full hookups. Itll be great when theres more grass and less mud around the sites.

The site was ok but we prefer the second leg sites of this campground. The site we stayed in was a downhill site and was muddy especially around the firepit. Other than that, the cell service & full hook ups including water pressure was excellent!

Good site plenty of shade the only down side is if it rains much the concrete pad that the picnic table sits on holds water and along the edge towards the drive way.

Campground value for FHU is outstanding and the people are great. Just make sure when making your reservation that you level your unit on the sight, as some the parking spots are not as level as they might appear.

As always, Ray Behrens doesnt disappoint! Spacious sites spread out far and wide. They had to shut full hookup water off bc the temps were getting to close to freezing. Not their fault for sure!! I will argue if someone says that RB has a problem!!!

We love camping here. Camp host is always nice and the bathrooms are always clean. There is a few sites that the trees are to close to the camper but we always make do .
