The campground was well kept up and the shower houses were clean and large. We made a day trip to Hannibal and went on the lake a few days. The only issue we had was our site was very unlevel right to left. So much so that even after placing boards under the right side our wheels were still off the ground and water would not drain properly.

The site was out of level side to side quite a bit. But someone had throwed their trash in the woods by site. Stopped a corp. maintenance to see about getting a camp ranger to look at for identification. He said they would take care of and had it cleaned up that day! Awesome job!

We were on site 3A which we have now heard is the worst site in the campground because it is so off level side to side. It took us HOURS to get level. In fact, on the first attempt, the camp side wheels were 8 off the ground. We finally got close to level by being as far over on the utility side of the driveway as possible. We had to build a platform at home to bring back so it wasnt a foot high bottom step! The Corps really needs to fix this site by building up the camp side of the site!!

A very spacious and well maintained campground. Most sites were fairly level. But...., this particular site was not level. Front to back was fine, somewhat downhill, but no problem. It was left to right that was not very good. We have self leveling which is fantastic but the tires of the camper on the doorside were about 4" off the ground to make it level. Needless to say, it needed several 2x6's to get up to the first step of the camper. Campers, be forewarned!! The campsites to either side of us were level, but not this one. Would we stay there again? Yes, but not on this site.

Great camp ground. Our site was not level though. The slope is very bad so be prepared with extra boards. No cell signal for ATT and the camp ground did not have WIFI at the time we were there. Well kept and having full hook up was great. Trees were well trimmed so they were not hitting our larger rig going in to the upper part of the camp ground.

Have been to Ray Behrens many times. Love camping there. We have stayed in LBS 89 and 90 Both shady level spots. DRUN site 12 which is shady and level. However, our most recent trip we were in site 3A. Absolutely no shade, and the site was horribly unlevel to the right. We had to use levelers stacked 4 high and then when we put out our steps we had to take boards and level those two and then use a foot stool to get to the first step. FHU was nice, but we will most definitely NOT stay in that site again unless they do some work to it.

It is a very neat park, shower house and bathrooms are clean, always very easy to check in, always some patrolling the area.

Ray Behrens is our favorite place close to home for camping. The campground is always clean and the lake is wonderful this time of year.
