Great space and level pads - full hook-ups available. Lots of room between camp sites.

Beautiful fall colors and nice sites. Didnt realize the shower houses in Deer Run and the middle campground had been demolished and were in a state of rebuilding.

We have stayed in the camp ground several times this summer and the one thing we have noticed in the sites we have stayed in, they need gravel. When you get off the paved portion of the site it is dirt or mud depending on the weather.

Spacious RV lots. Nice trails. However showers are 1.5 miles away & restrooms are 2,000'ft away. Cell service is sketchy. Water access trails need a rope to help with steep, wet, muddy, rocky climb from lake to eroded trail landing.

We love Ray Behrens. The large yards make all the difference. Well maintained bath and shower houses and most spots are level. All spots are paved and the yards are well manicured. Our favorite camping location in Missouri.

We have been camping at Ray Behrens for over 40 years. We abide by all the rules, especially when it comes to checking out. If anything we always leave by 2 at the latest. On September 6 it was a beautiful day and we decided to go for a boat ride. All we had to do when we got off the water was change, close up our camper, hookup and leave. We got back to our campsite at 3 knowing we had to be gone by 4. The park ranger was waiting for us when we arrived to remind us check out was at 4 as there was someone waiting to get on our site. (Check-in is at 5). They were 3 hours early. We let him know we were very well aware of the time. He continued to sit and watch us. It is now 3:30 and very obvious that all we had to do was hook up and leave. The ranger walked up to us reminding us we had 30 minutes to leave. We just said okay and then he walked over to the couple waiting for our spot. We have never experienced this type of treatment before and to be quite honest it made me especially very nervous and rushed with the ranger watching us. As I mentioned any other day we would have been gone much earlier but in the case stayed knowing we had until 4:00. I just hope other campers do not have to experience this type of treatment as we have.

Why did you all cut out so much of the woods and shade between sites? What a shame.
