This is a small quiet campground thats far enough away from the main trailhead. Theres potable water in the campsite and two bathrooms. Sure #6 is probably the best one here. Only issue we encountered were people stealing campsites on the first night at 4am Toyota Tacoma circled the campsite with their lights on a few times, and then finally settled on the site next to ours. They were really making a ruckus while we were trying to sleep. On the second night, another truck claimed the campsite across from ours at about 5pm (incredibly early to be stealing unoccupied sites). The group that had actually booked that site rolled in around 7pm and thankfully everyone was civil about it.

I reserved and paid for a site thru rec.gov, they gave me site #9, and after driving 45 miles to get there, I found out there are only 8 sites there. No #9! No refund. No help. Drove 20+ miles and boondocked in the woods. Be cautious when using rec.gov.

Quiet, not crowded. Spaces adequate. easy walk to clean pit toilets. Good water source- water fountain and spigot for bottles. Scenic lake. Easy road in.

Nice small campground with road access. Campground is approximately 1.4 miles off of North Country Trail. Would have been fun to kayak around the lake but we were just there for an overnight.

A very nice quiet campground with a water tap, and vault toilets. Zero cell phone coverage.

Beautiful little spot. Not many spots make for a chill campsite. Rangers came and took trash and cleaned vault toilets every day. Amazing hike to Lake Superior coves.

The site is amazing. Beautiful, clean, convenient to trails. The insects were terrible. Flies and mosquitoes. Definitely make sure to visit this campsite just not during bug season.

If you want to get off the grid I highly recommend a spot at Little Beaver Lake!Our site had a beautiful view of the lake. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained for pit toilets. The campground is small so it's not loud. It is a drive to get into the campground or out to explore other parts of the park. The Loop hike to Chapel Beach is pretty amazing. The biting flies are no joke! Wear loose fitting long pants and shirt. We didn't find any bug spray that kept them at bay.Junior Ranger program was great! It gets kids interested in things. I really like the bingo activity.No cell service at the campsite! Also, no showers! Only 1 bear box for the entire campground, which was fine because most of us had cars to store things in. But if you're a hiker, there is limited food storage.

We have done a lot of camping in the past and this site was by far the worst! As soon as we got out of the vehicle we were swarmed by mosquitoes! We tried everything from bug spray, to smoke them out, to different types of repellent and they were relentless! We couldnt even sit by the fire and enjoy ourselves! Had to go in the tent at 6pm just to prevent from being swarmed! We ended up packing up a day early and leaving because you simply couldnt even sit outside without being swarmed and bit! I was so sad as it seemed it was a lovely and quiet spot, however, it is not somewhere I would ever recommend or stay at again

The location and campground is beautiful. Loved our campsite (#4) at Little Beaver. Potable water at the campground and well-kept pit toilet. There's a very steep hill on the road going in. Great hikes all through the park and we took one to the lake directly from the campground. The coast, beach area, and park upkeep was great. The big BUT was that the mosquitos were oppressive here. (Early June). We thankfully brought a lot of bug gear - head nets, hammock nets, and sprays, but even with those we didn't stay the last night of our booking. It may be worth checking the radar, and if wind is above 5mph they'll be less of a problem. We took advantage of our extra time by going into Munising for a Glass Bottom Shipwreck tour, highly recommend. Will come back!

This campground is not treated like a wilderness area. 4 or 5 campsites were occupied by a school group with 20 kids running and screaming through everyone's campsites. They also strung up a huge platform between all the trees for the kids to jump on and probably damaged the trees. The campsites are also super small and close together so there's no privacy and you're surrounded by campfire smoke no matter the wind. One of the camper trailers also left an alarm going off all day until they got back at 9pm. There's no oversight and I never saw a campground host or park ranger in the whole time I was there. By far the noisiest, cramped campground I've ever stayed at. Don't expect to enjoy nature here.

Had a great time at Little Beaver campground. I like hiking the area and visiting some of my favorite Pictured Rocks sites outside of the usual touristy places. That being said, on the first night of my stay there was a dog in site 5 overnight and the next day. You have a large professional sign for "no generators" in the campground, but a very small hand written "no dogs" on the camp rules. In addition, the second day I was there, fishermen were using a boat with a large gasoline motor on both Beaver Lakes. I reported it to some park workers while the party was loading their boat and motor and was told they would contact "enforcement". The license tag was Michigan 86ABP0(zero).

It is a nice little campground, directly on the water of Little Beaver Lake. There are pit toilets and potable water, but no sinks, just as they are listed on the site. I do wish the water station had a bit better signage, since it is across the campground from the latrines. I missed it before starting some backcountry camping. The amenities of the campground are sparse, but well-maintained. It is definitely a no-frills campground and quite rustic, but a beautiful site.

Small campground but very nice. Hiking trails very close that take you either to Beaver Lake or Lake Superior.

It would enhance the campsites if enough underbrush was cleared in order to have a view of the lake. Not between sites. Thanks

Great little campground! Road in was nowhere near as steep as described by others. Spots along the lake especially nice.

It was a beautiful setting with the lake in the background. It was a little remote to get to.

Beautiful location. Some of the sites are small but he smaller sites tend to have nice views of the lake. Also there are no generators allowed which is amazing!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
