Visitors driving around, not aware of booking on line. Glad not to have the camping sites in the middle, no privacy there.

Great small CG with 8 sites. Lucked into a couple nights over a weekend, was probably a cancelation.Able to paddle and hike right from CG.

Very clean facilities. Hiking trails around the area are very well marked. Camp spots are super close to one another. But the cleanliness and accessibility of the site is a plus.

Its extremely hard to back our tiny 18 ft. trailer into a site. It appears to be intentional making it hard on trailer campers to use this campground. ie... more guided towards pop up or tent campers. Frustrating because we have fished this for over 40 years and have seen the negative changes to fishermen and trailers campers desires. We found the campground tidy and clean. We were the very first ones for the summer season because it opened on the very day we stayed. Bathrooms were super clean for outhouses. Fire pits were tidy. Boat launch was good. Park ranger had no personality. He was rather abrasive. We were legal w/ our new added fee vehicle permit and our posted campsite
permit that I printed so I wasn't hastled like others at 9am. Most campers didn't post their permit so they were woke up by a ranger. Seen a girl ticketed for sleeping in her car at the boat launch parking area. No sites available... tired of driving so slept there. Bad idea... expect a rude ranger and a ticket. p.s. NO SIGNAGE POSTED FOR BOAT TRAILER PARKING BY THE LAUNCH... SO WE HAD TO UNDUE TRAILERS AND BACK THEM INTO THE WOOD BECAUSE HIKERS PARKED IN BOAT TRAILER AREA. Put up some signage. Weather was cold because of that bugs werent' bad until last. Fishing was terrible. No darn fish that lake. Road going in this year was pretty good. Our camp had 4 vehicles for 4 guys. all paid the new vehicle fee of $30 for the season. Park Service reeped their fees on us. Use to be just pay for a site and fish w/ a gas motor. Not anymore. We had to row full end of the lake do the weather an no juice left in battery. Would have called 911 but there is no service. Terrible idea shutting off lake to gas motors. We almost had a heartattack rowing. both in our 60s. Hope you have a spotter if you stay in a trailer... you will need it do to huge stones placed where you back up everywhere.

Beautiful, quiet location. Our rig lost all battery power and we couldn't close or pull up leveling jacks. No cell service either. So as we wondered what to do next, some young women camping next to us offered their car for us to go find cell service and call for help. As we were contemplating this, a park staff member came by to check on the camping site. We told him our dilemma and he went out of his way to get a small portable generator which was enough to start us up. Outstanding service by the park staff and the young women camping near us. One knows the risk of camping off grid but assumes it all works out in the end. Thanks to these folks it did. Beautiful place to be.

The Little Beaver Campground is a beautiful spot to camp. We saw lots of wildlife and love the hiking trails next to the campground. It would be awesome if they kept the bathroom/outhouse clean. It was pretty bad when we were there this time.

Nice, quiet, remote campground. Facilities were nice - we enjoyed the last day of provided water before it was shut off for winter! Didn't get a chance to hike to Superior from campground as we headed to the Chapel-Mosquito loop for a long, spectacular day of hiking!

Small, very tight campsites but during our stay it remained remarkably quiet. A couple from Florida showed up with their trailer and assumed there were water hookups at each site since the amenities listed "drinking water." They proceeded to back their trailer up to the drinking fountain spigot and filled their camper!!! As this is a remote, RUSTIC campground it has only a solar pump...he could have easily used up all the water supply as it takes a long time to regenerate. Does not get more selfish than that! Not to mention he completely blocked access for others trying to enter camp. Best for only tent camping, windy road and tight sites. After talking to others who have previously camped here, it would be prudent to have a host on site or regular ranger activity. Since the reservation system was put in place apparently people are just taking any vacant site and with no phone or internet there is little to do about it! I feel lucky we had the good experience that we did!

We loved the remoteness and the small size of the campground, we really felt like we were in the wilderness. The accessibility of both lakes made kayaking very easy. The hiking trails out to Lake Superior were well-maintained and easy to follow (just watch out for those stairs!) The only downside to our visit was that the latrines were very aromatic. They were not full and were clean, so we're not sure why, we just made our visits there quickly.

Little Beaver is a great starting spot for lots of trails, and kayaking on the two Beaver lakes is as quiet and peaceful as you could imagine.

This park took us by surprise. We brought our dog camping at Little Beaver lake campground and couldn't do much hiking there, but they have so many trails that are dog friendly at Pictured Rocks that we just drove to. The campground was beautiful and the bathrooms were as clean as possible.
I'm sure we will be back.
