Awesome handicap access at A12! Beautiful camp site and access to Lake Macdonald by car (less steps) at the picnic pull off just before you approach the campground! Stunning lake! Rangers were so helpful and great.

Not bad. We were there to explore so honestly we just needed a cheep place to sleep and it worked for has. I felt that most of the campers we respectfully. And I loved that the water was close by. Easy to get to for parking.

The site (B49 Loop B) is short and quite narrow, even for our 20 ft camper-van. To get level ground we had to back into the neighbors site. Fortunately, our neighbor was kind and cooperative.

We were right by the stream and could hear the flowing water all night. bathroom was clean.
@RyanA6059288E6 · Camped on Aug 23, 2025 at Campsite #C128
The bathrooms at loop A were not in order, and clearly had been out of order for some time given that they had porta johns there. Otherwise it was great. But not having bathrooms is a huge issue.

This campsite didn't really have a good area for a tent. Also we had terrible neighbors who weren't respectful of the quiet hours. It was sooo nice to have showers nearby though coming out of a backpacking trip. Campsite was walking distance to lake McDonald so it was nice to watch sunset there.

Great site, great hosts. As with other NPS campsites, facilities are tired, and we know why. Staff and volunteers are doing an amazing job of holding it together.

Campground was clean and quiet. The bathrooms are exceptional along with the shower facilities. A great campground

Small place, you dont have too much space o privacy from one camp site to another. No food storage Good thing; is very well located, very close to lakes McDonals

Lovely site, close to the lake and bathrooms (but not too close). Unfortunately the C-loop bathrooms were not working, but the porta potties were always clean and D loop facilities were not too far away.I have a large tent, and it fitted easily on the site. Some of the others around were much smaller. The access is not suitable for RV trailers or motor homes but would fit a Van fine.Access to the lake was easy, and I was able to carry my Kayak down easily.Plenty of shade, which made the site lovely and cool all day, but made my solar panels a bit useless, but I made a plan to keep my solar generator charged to keep my fridge operating.The camp hosts were fantastic and very helpful and everything was clean and well maintained.It was a perfect holiday in a beautiful corner of the country.

Great campground.

Beautiful forest campground with flush toilets and sinks available - although the ones in Loop C were out-of-service and we walked a short distance to Loop B. No dishwashing sinks, which was less convenient compared to Yellowstone campgrounds. Benches were on a slope, but manageable. Otherwise would definitely stay again for convenient access to Glacier National Park.

Great location along SW shore of Lake McDonald for exploring the west side of the GTTS road. Enjoyed rocky/gravel beach for swimming/sunning; most campsites are adequately private. ONLY negative is shower temperature was only slightly warmer than the lake temperature. :)
@SamanthaP64A59 · Camped on Aug 12, 2025 at Campsite #B38
The campsite was nice, not a far walk from the lake and was busy enough that we felt safe but secluded enough that we didnt feel like we were right next to our neighbors. Only negative was that online it lists if you stay at a campground in the park you dont need a timed entry for the went entrance but that does not include Fish Creek, you have to have a timed entry pass which was disappointing.
@JeffreyR327920 · Camped on Aug 12, 2025 at Campsite #B48
clean campsite, convenient water, clean bathrooms. sites are small, enough room for a single vehicle, single tent, picnic table, and a few chairs around the fire ring but not much else. Fish Creek picnic site along lake shore is beautiful and great place for picnic and a swim. Didn't see or catch a single fish or see anybody else who did either. Crowds everywhere along pavement and frenzy to find a parking spot everywhere you go is a major drawback of visiting Glacier.

Nice campground despite the lack of showers

We had a great time at Fish Creek campground. The campground hosts, Terry and Sandra, were extremely nice and helpful! We drove the Sun road later in the day a couple of times and used the shuttle another time. The shuttle was very easy to use. We brought our own kayaks so we were able to kayak early in the morning or later in the evening when Lake McDonald was very calm.
@JohnP1604489 · Camped on Aug 10, 2025 at Campsite #B52
Campground was OK, but shower facilities were too limited. Not only were they far away , but 2 of the 4 showers were closed/inoperable!Did not realize you need daily pass for Going to Sun road. I thought my timed entry to park and campground reservation would give us access to not only Going to Sun road, but also Many Glacier. We had to forfeit seeing Many Glacier as a result. No shuttle passes were available.

I stayed only two nights, but loved the accessibility and location of the campground. I was able to easily explore the Missouri Breaks National Monument and nearby wildlife refuge. I also found the camp host to be extremely knowledgable and eager to help. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a truly great family vacation at GNP for 8 nights, staying at Fish Creek campground. We loved being next to the lake, so we could walk down in the mornings and have coffee on the shore, jumping in the lake in the afternoons, and then settling into the camp site, which was surrounded by thick woods. The camp sites are close together, but the trees separated us nicely and overall the campground was very quiet. We brought in a rented 24 foot camper trailer, and we were able to easily fit it and our tow vehicle in the pull through site. We were a little surprised that the bathrooms at loop C were out of order, but the porta-potties were serviced regularly and were generally clean. There was also a notice posted that the water had a high level of manganese, and may be harmful to drink, so we brought in bottled water jugs and were able to refill them daily at the apgar visitor center, and other centers around the park. This was our first trip as a family to Glacier, and we went hiking every day, including to St. Mary's Falls, Two-Medicine Lake's Aster Falls, Hidden Lake at Logan Pass, and Avalanche Lake. I would highly recommend all of those hikes. We were able to see bighorn sheep, mountain goats, moose, deer, and a lot of other smaller wildlife. No bear sightings for us, but we were ok with that! We kept all our food in the car overnight and during the days, in coolers and dry boxes, and had no issues. I would highly recommend making some reservations for going to the sun road, and the Many Glacier shuttle ahead of time, as it is a hassle to go to the visitor center for internet access every night and try to book those at 7pm when released for the next day. We did it though, it is doable. Overall, one of my favorite vacations in a long time. It was actually really nice to be without mobile service for over a week.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
