Very nice campground. 2 of us stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it. Nice location near Lake McDonald, Apgar, and McDonald Lodge. About two hours to many of the other cool destinations in the park. Not the most remote but good spot to access a number of different hikes. After staying here would be cool to get a more wilderness fix somewhere remote or backpacking.

The site was wonderful, tucked nicely into the hillside with a shortcut trail to join the hike down to the shore. The bathrooms were kept in great shape, especially considering the campground was packed. It was very noisy...like, all night. No helpful reminders from the hosts on keeping voices and music down during sleeping hours. And the trash truck came through early which is mega loud. Not the most peaceful/restful experience, but it was a lovely spot.

it's ridiculous that things like "get vehicle pass" need wifi but you have to drive into town or visitor center to get wifi.

We loved our campsite. The hill behind the site was full of huckleberries so we had deer visit our site in the mornings. One of the best campgrounds I've stayed in, was quiet and respectful and rangers were super helpful when we got locked out of our car. The lake was about a 10 min walk from this site. There is a small trail behind this campsite that takes you directly there.

Quiet spot close to several trails. We loved the tall trees and huckleberry bushes surrounding us.

Clean, quiet campground located close to the lake.

With the ticketed entry roads were less crowded and we were able to find a place to park at one of our favorite trailheads.
