A very nice campsite right on the lake. We were in spot 19 next to the bathrooms. The road was a little loud in the evenings and mornings but overall the experience was good.

They need to change the QR code to Cut bank. Had to go to visitor center to help me do it in the app. Kept coming up as Sprague campground. Or have an envelope drop or kiosk. No internet. I would stay here again. Love how it's smaller and our night was quiet. Could hear the owls.

Awesome campground, very clean and well kept! The road is a little noisy and contrary to what the app says, theres absolutely no cell service up there.

The campground itself was very charming. Wooded with direct convenient access to the lake beach. Unfortunately no shower facilities. The site itself was definitely not one of the better ones. Small and too close to the bathroom which is a net negative unless you have a disability or diarrhea. The fire ring is located right next to it, and at the one spot with no tree coverage. The site was also pretty close to the road.

Sprague Creek campground is nice. Close to the Apgar entrance, very clean, kind/inviting host, on Lake McDonald (great sunset spot), and a small number of sites so low traffic. Take note there are no showers at this campground. Also you will hear noise from the main road right beside the campground, look on Google maps and this becomes immediately apparent. In the evening GTTSR traffic drops off to almost nonexistent so wasn't an issue for us. Get the lakeside sites if possible. You will be close to the lake and further from the main road. We had site 19 and I do not recommend. Your tent will be around 30 feet from the bathroom door with a light on all night. A public walkway to the bathroom cuts through the site separating your parking spot from the bathroom, so people will be walking through your space. There is rope strung around the site maybe to show the public it's not open, IDK, but it made for a less natural experience. Also it would have been challenging to fit two tents in this site, not sure it would have been possible although it claims that's ok. I would not get #19 or 18 unless I had no other options. We also had site 4 for friends which was nice although in the middle so not much privacy. But more room for tents, no public pathways, closer to the lake.

Pros: small campground, no RVs, no generators, easy access to the lake, lots of shadeCons: the road is about 100 feet away so its pretty loud most of the time. Our site was small and not very private. Bathrooms are old.Try and get site 13 if you can. That had a great view of the lake.

It's a great location and our site had a view of the lake, so we loved that. We didn't realize there were no showers in this campground, so that was a disappointment. But Joan is an awesome camp host and was very helpful to us, with tips to help us get to the hikes we wanted to make. She even shared with us some firewood from her own supply after ours was taken while we were away.

Wonderful, small campground. While there are no generators allowed, going to the sun road is very close in proximity, which has regular traffic from 4:30 AM through 10 PM. Not a particularly quiet campground, and very few of the sites are level (my site was 5). No showers at this one (fish creek and Apgar have showers)

Bring yer inflatable paddle board and have it inspected for use in the lake. It is an absolutely stunningly beautiful lake that you will want to look into. Bring goggles/mask too.

Very nice campground! Good location with lake access down a few steps. Our site (10) had good shade and a view of the lake. You can hear the road noise even at the lakeside campsites, so that's the only downside.

Close to Lake MacDonald. Can access from site! Sites are close so very little privacy. Very close to Road to the Sun which is surprisingly busy during the night. Expect to hear road noise.The camp host was wonderful. Made you feel welcome and straight forward with campground rules.

Went to Russels Fireside Dining room for an awesome burger then came back and spent 4 hours paddle boarding on the lake. Absolutely gorgeous campground and its directly beside the lake! Smaller campground so its nice and quiet/secluded. Would definitely recommend!!

Maybe I have been to some bad campsites and didn't know it, but this campsite did exactly what we needed it to. Sure you're a little close to your neighbors, but the bathrooms are convenient and far enough away, the raised area for the tent was level, and there was easy access to the GTTSR. I also don't stay at the campsite but to sleep and have breakfast and dinner, so maybe that's why people seem to have a worse time at this site than I did.

Great location, sites are good size, it was very hard to make a reservation and unfortunately some site were empty even though werent available. I wish the host would report and cancel those who didnt come so people who needed to stay have the opportunity. Site 13 is by the lake with the steep slope

On the plus side this is near Lake McDonald Lodge and its amenities and because it is inside the reservation area for the Going to the Sun Road, you do not have to hope to get a road reservation to use the Going to the Sun Road.On the negative side this campground is right next to the busy Sun road and so you have to listen to cars zipping by at all hours of the day and night making it hard to get to sleep when you are in a tent. Also, some of the sites are very close together, my tent was less than 6 feet from the one at the next site, so I hope you enjoy hearing every word of your neighbors conversations.

What a beautiful little campground tucked right between the road and the lake. The campsites were perfectly sized and the bathroom facilities sparkling clean! Many of the campsites have beautiful views of the lake and it is easy to walk down to the rocky beach early in the morning for coffee by the water or to fish or swim.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
