It's a great location and our site had a view of the lake, so we loved that. We didn't realize there were no showers in this campground, so that was a disappointment. But Joan is an awesome camp host and was very helpful to us, with tips to help us get to the hikes we wanted to make. She even shared with us some firewood from her own supply after ours was taken while we were away.

Went to Russels Fireside Dining room for an awesome burger then came back and spent 4 hours paddle boarding on the lake. Absolutely gorgeous campground and its directly beside the lake! Smaller campground so its nice and quiet/secluded. Would definitely recommend!!

Site 11 is probably the worst option in this campground. It's right next to the bathrooms and camp dump station and the site is not fully level. People are constantly coming and going through your site and the bathroom light shines all night into your tent. The tent pad is small and gravelly and the vehicle noise was constant. The sites are very close together with little to no privacy; we could hear every word of a drunken conversation two campsites down for many hours. The only bathroom for the campground was rundown and didn't have handsoap. You could potentially walk to the picnic ground bathrooms for a more updated option with soap. The view was of the water through the trees was lovely and Joan, the campground host, was incredibly helpful when we had an issue.

Awesome location near the beach. Small, private, quiet. Wonderful camp hosts. Tent only camping.

#11 was a very convenient site. You are next to the rest rooms. So light pollution is a thing. Camp is quite by the time it was dark & while we were in camp most people walked around our site on the way to the restroom. Also there are no shower facilities. Site had full sun in the afternoon. Tent pad was big enough for our large tent & parking was large enough for a full size truck.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect. The campground is small but right next to the water. Some spots appear to be larger than others and have better areas for placing a tent. Not all spots have the ability to hang a hammock. The camp host was always there and available to help. They checked us in right away. The site is close to the road so there was some car noise but it wasn't too bad.

We love Sprague Creek! Its a lovely little campground, and it was perfect for our needs, as we came to hike and cycle in Glacier!

Campground is small, only 24 sites, so pretty quiet and not much traffic. Its near the main road, so a bit of road noise but not much. Lots of trees and the campground is very shady, some sites are overlooking Lake McDonald. The campsites are pretty close together, and its very easy to see your neighbors, so not much privacy. Two sites nearest the bathroom have a path right through the campsite to the bathroom, so there's people walking near or through the campsite to get to the bathrooms.

Small campground with tight parking spots. As of June, 2023 all the heavy machinery doing Going-to-the-sun road stages directly outside the campground and workers fire up those beasts first thing so be ready for a loud and disruptive awakening. Snagged a reservation using the four day out window and the site we got (#11) was right next to the bathroom with the light shining. Some deer clearly habituated to people (and probably snacks) cruised by very close to us. The host was lovely and lake accessible just steps away. Overall the views are amazing but wont do this stretch of road again until the road is improved between Apgar and Sprague. Better to drive around and enter the park on the east side for more camping.
