Excellent park and area! Roads in and out were fine for our truck and 27' 5th wheel. Pay attention to length of site because most are loops off of the main road and require very tight turns to get in. Good bicycle riding in the area!

Great place to stay - hikes within walking distance and nice big, flat sites

We got off to a rocky start when the camp host tried to set me up by claiming I left my large empty ice chest unattended and out over night. Neither were true and we had a "discussion" about it along with how threatening me with law enforcement was not a good way to get things done. From other comments from guests, this particular lady was power hungry. I was not bothered any more and the remainder of the stay was wonderful.

Our camp site was next to the camp host. They were running their air conditioner 24 seven and it was really loud and obnoxious. Otherwise we really enjoyed the bike paths and hikes around the campground.

Apgar camp ground never disappoints. Easy access to the entire park

Make a way to be able to get the grill for on top of the fire pit. Even if it means requiring putting the grill in the vehicle. Everything else was wonderful.

Wonderful, private campsite.

The NPS has done nothing to curb the overwhelming number of reservation squatters who take campsites and never show up. The week i was in Apgar in July, less than half of the sights were occupied yet all were reserved. The hosts couldn't let us stay in any so we stayed at a hotel outside the campground for all nights but one. People who don't show up for sites should be fined and barred from reservations for at least 3 years.

Apgar is wonderful except that the shuttle system does not work well. I have experienced the shuttle at Zion, which would be a good model for Glacier. Zion has many, many, many more shuttle vehicles than Glacier so that one almost always can get a seat on a shuttle in just a few minutes. At Apgar I stood in line for more than 2 hours before I gave up and went home. When I dropped out of the line there were at least 100 people standing in line in front of me. I had arrived at the main shuttle stop at 7:30, which I thought would be early enough, but it was not. I know $$$ is short supply for the Park service and I know you are trying very hard to work out this problem, but if at all possible, that is where I would put any extra money you have. Other than that, Glacier is an absolute dream vacation.

How can you beat being on Lake MacDonald. Great accessibility to many activities and dining. Clean campsites and bath/showers.

Nice campground, convenient walking distance to the village and the lake. My only issue was the proximity to the main road. Lots of road noise early in the morning.

Campsite was great, easy in and out. There were even deer strolling through in the early morning. Trees and vegetation between sites, a fair amount of privacy and easy access to the bath house and a walk to town.

We stayed 5 night in July mixing in some excursions & hikes some days while relaxing near the lake on others. Enjoyed the campground and agility to bike to lake, visitor center or village with kids. Brought kayaks for the lake and had very easy access from day use area. Only downside were the shower options, 4 stalls for entire campground with long waits.

Beautiful campground with a perfect location at the foot of Lake McDonald. Easy access to the shuttle.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
