Nice and clean campsite, the sites I stayed in and most all sites looked very private. Nice seperation for a more private camping visit. The volunteers were all helpful and friendly.

Campsite was clean upon arrival and volunteer hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable. Bathrooms were always clean and well stocked, signs around the area were easy to understand. And you cant beat the views, the hikes, or the lakes!

We love Apgar! We have been coming here for more than 40 years. We are, however, very discouraged with the "no-show" situation at this campground and many others in the Reservation.gov system. The hosts at this campground says they average a 10% no show rate and that's unacceptable, and so frustrating for those trying to find a campsite. There needs to be a process in place that allows unoccupied, yet reserved, sites to be made available to others, and perhaps a penalty for not utilizing your reservation.

The campground was great. It was nice and quiet and spread out. The womens bathrooms near our site had 2/3 working toilets and 1/2 working sinks. There was no hand soap at all.The listing says Apgar has showers. There were 2 working showers for 200 campsites. The lines were long both early morning and late into the night. There were not very many bear boxes. For a camp ground that has bears in it almost every day each site needs to have its own bear box.

We stayed in loop A early June of 24. The camp hosts were very proactive in insuring all campers were aware of the quiet hours and specific generator hours. I heard no generators operating outside those hours. The host were also very helpful in providing useful information that enhanced our stay. If you are planning an activity beyond the GTTSR check point, get an early start! Pull outs and parking lots at trailheads have limited parking and fill up fast.

We had a great time at Apgar campground. It's walking distance to Lake McDonald, the Visitors Center and Apgar Village. It's a really big campground but it was very quiet. We got to do the Going to the Sun Road and it wasn't too busy. The restrooms did need some attention as the Women's bathroom closest to our campground was closed most of our stay. Lot's of Camp Hosts around,

I was pleasantly surprised by this campground. Looking at the map before my arrival I got the impression that Apgar would be like a small city-- it's such a big campground! In person, however, we found that the sites were private and nestled among the trees and bushes. The campground was quiet even though it was nearly at full capacity. We will definitely stay here again!

We were at Apgar four nights, July 18, 2023 to July 22, 2023. Very convenient location to make use of the Going To The Sun Road shuttle system. Short walk to Apgar village and the visitor center to take a tour or to catch a hiking shuttle. Bigger sites than I was expecting, but not very private. Very busy campground. No hookups at these campsites and most are not level. We are fortunate to be in a truck camper that we could edge close to the rocks to find a level spot. I was surprised to have some spotty cell service (T-Mobile), and we were able to talk with our adult children back home a couple of times. We had a great time and definitely recommend it. We only scratched the surface of all the activities this park has to offer over the four nights we were there. Lots more to see on the next trip.MarkHouston, TX

Very nice campsites with lots of trees and space between sites. Would be nice to have electric hookup and maybe a mini-shuttle to visitor center to catch shuttles along Going to Sun Road.
