Apgar Campground is on the winter schedule, and only B Loop is open with pit toilets available. It's still a great spot.

The campground location is great! Easy access to the lake and walking distance from the visitors center. The campsite I stayed on wasn't so great. It's far from ideal when you want to camp in a tent, because there's very limited space to actually pitch your tent. The site seemed to be some kind of shared driveway with the two adjacent sites. I guess that would be okay if I had an RV but I couldn't pitch my tent there. So there was only a small spot left between the bushes and the fire pit where I could pitch my tent. It was a bit too far in the bushes and too close to the fire pit if you ask me. Also, there's absolutely zero privacy in this spot. I looked around and noticed there were many better spots than this one, especially those on the other side of the road seemed much more spacious and "hidden" between trees. So if you have the choice: get a different spot.

Nighttime road construction behind campground with trucks going all night long! But improvements are necessary. Even more frustrating was campers coming in late at night and showing no regard to neighbors-slamming car doors, talking and arguing! Rude!!! Campground clean and neat, have showers but not convenient to all campsites, we were in Loop B and 3 showers were available in Loop A-not sure if those were the only ones. Many campsites empty because people reserve them to avoid having to get vehicle entry pass-parks need to look into that!
