Great site and location, easy access to amenities. Low cellphone access, but close to village. Quiet, peaceful solitude. Friendly, helpful park hosts and fellow campers. Great camping experience!

Campsites are private and plenty of room. Stayed in Loop C and Loop A. Close to the Village and Visitor Center. Also really close to the amphitheater with a great view/access to Lake McDonald. The visitor center has wifi for reserving passes to Going-to-the-Sun road.

this is a wonderful campground! i was able to book a site just a few days prior to our arrival date. dont be discouraged, just keep refreshing rec.gov for cancelations! the sites are huge! you definitely dont feel like youre on top of other campers. plenty of tall trees for hammocking/shade. you can walk via the bike path to West Glacier or Apgar Visitor Center or Apgar Village, its a lovely dog-friendly stroll! the free hot showers are so appreciated, although there are only 3 individual shower stalls for the entire campground (only 2 were working on our second night), but we didnt experience any long lines while showering between 6:30pm-7:30pm. the bathrooms are clean, although they dont have soap. potable water. no at&t, even tho our phones randomly say we have 2 bars. one of the volunteers was super helpful he didnt have the answer to our question, but returned to our site later with an answer! great place to start your Glacier adventure if youre beginning on the west side.

This place is too beautiful, clean, tidy and very quiet. Nearby you can find everything you need. I love this place

It was a little challenging finding the entrance. Partially this was due to construction machines near the point where Going To The Sun Road construction was to happen. Once we figured it out, piece of cake. We had a good sized tent site, with good tree cover. There were we had some rain and cloud cover, so night sky viewing was very limited. But, the narrow view would have been restrictive. This was bear country. We saw a couple in the park, but not near the sites. There were bear boxes available. Our site, and loop was convenient to GTTS Rd, and West Glacier. We had a restroom building with flush toilets and running water, though no paper towels or soap (bring your own). We enjoyed our stay here, as well as the park.
