Sites are kinda close to each other. Running water in bathrooms but no hot water or showers were available.

The campground was very beautiful and right on the water. I liked being farther back from the Going to the Sun road so we could not hear as much road noise. The camp was clean and my kids loved being able to walk right to the lake next to our campground while I cooked. The campsite is SMALL though. Compared to our site in the Tetons, you had very little room to pitch a tent and eat at your table, that is all. I think what I found hard about the trip was Glacier is too overrun with people that you almost can't experience anything! Every parking spot is taken at trailheads or view points and the ONLY way you are able to see it is if you rise at 4am and go or stay up late and go at night. With little kids, that is not always possible. We had a very hard time doing anything in the park because of how busy it was. We ventured down to Apgar village and it was like Disneyland! People everywhere and no place to park. Getting out in nature was not peaceful at all. I wish the park would limit how many visitors it got at any given point. I am not just talking about the pass for the Going to the Sun road either, I'm talking about the entire park period. The other solution is make more parking available so people can actually hike the trails you have rather than just have 15 spaces with no parking on the street......

I love this sweet campground on the lake and was ecstatic to get a couple nights there and share them with my niece who'd never been to Glacier.

What can you say about Glacier that hasn't been said? Lake McDonald is as beautiful as anything I've seen in my life. Hiking Brown Mountain was a ball buster. Night hiking from the Belton Amtrak station 9 miles to my camp from 10pm - 1am was thrilling. The camp host was great. The Rangers were great. It's nice to see tax dollars well spent. It's so rare.

Campground location was good and otherwise clean. Upon arrival we could not find the camp host to ask some questions; and the sign said camp host would come to us. That never happened. On our departure morning bathrooms were closed at prime time (830am) for cleaning, delaying our departure.

Campsites are very close to each other. Some have a view of the lake. Its very close to the going to the sun road so you can hear the cats driving. Hosts are very friendly.

Great experience! Campsites are in very close proximity, but understandable to accommodate as many as possible to enjoy the park. Grizzly Bear in the north half of the complex. So cool to watch the bear from a safe distance. Rangers and camp host handled the situation superbly by reminding everyone to keep their sites clean and food stored properly.
