Access to the lake, close proximity to the village, ranger led evening talks, a sky viewing party nearby at the visitor center, warm showers, recycling center, helpful gray water/dish water dumping station, clean surroundings, and the campground has so many Western Larch trees that must be incredible in the fall... what more could you want? The sites are a good size and most, if not all, have pull-through parking with space for at least one car to be level. The campground sits inside the park but outside the new timed entry boundaries. Will absolutely be back.

Nice campsite with pull through. Campsite has room for one large tent. There isnt much privacy between sites because they are close together, but everyone was very nice. Campground does not feel as big as it looks on the map.

This was a beautiful place to camp. A deer walked right by my campsite one morning, which was fun to see.

We camped in loop C which was shaded by pine trees and close to Lake McDonald.

Nice location near the village. Even though the campground was on the lake, access to the lake was limited. Nicely forested in our loop, but other loops were more exposed. The shower situation was so inadequate it might as well not have been there - only three shower stalls for the whole campground in one loop so there was always a line and the water was ice cold. Inadequate recycling facilities.

Loop A had showers (free!) which we def needed. We were in loop C but was able to park at the amphitheater for a shorter walk to our showers. Great campsite with potable water and decently clean bathrooms. Great place to camp in the park.

Loved our stay at the campground! It was extremely quiet, safe and the bathrooms were clean. Staying inside the park made getting to trailheads so easy without waiting on the long park entrance lines. We will definitely be coming back!
