Rented two sites and was constantly harassed about parking. Family do not come on the second site so we parked over flow vehicles there and still got warnings. We will just do day visits from here forward-

We camped at site #5. Loved having the deck, it gave us so much more room. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the deer every where. It was a very pleasant trip.

This place is really great: The sites are level with good space for extra pup-up tents or equipment. The bath houses are clean and well maintained. I like that the sites have both fire pits and standing cooking grills along with picnic tables. There are no real hiking trails, but you can access the lake from two different locations plus the boat ramp. The campground is close to a major shopping center (Walmart, Lowe's and all kinds of eating places plus old town Ellijay is a wonderful place to visit, shop and eat.

Our site was very clean and ready, although the weather wasnt. I will warn you that the speed breaks are extremely large and will damage your vehicle or camper if you arent careful. After sitting all winter, we had some water leakage problems and the jarring over the speed breaks caused one of my cabinets to break loose from the ceiling, not all the speed breaks fault. Overall we always enjoy Doll Mountain. I wish there was an easier was to get to the water to fish, lol.

Nice campground. Only hiccup was that we brought our electric golf cart to get around and as soon as the campground host saw it, we were told it was not allowed. I read everything I could find before the trip and there was nothing about no electric carts/vehicles - even the nice man who delivered the news to us said he had never heard that before. Of course the kid in the next site over was on his electric scooter zipping all over the place. Nevertheless, we were told that the police would be around and they would ticket us if they saw the cart. This was a little frustrating since the bathhouse was not located in our loop and the boat ramp not even close.

Weather was bad, but the campground is great.

Beautiful decks overlooking the forest and lake. Sites 40 & 42 were great - level and fit our 2 cars. Moved out of Site 45 because the driveway was too steep and curvy for me (but Im bad at backing in). Had to drive to the bathroom - very clean with good showers. Hosts checked in with us and gave us their emergency number - felt very safe. Loved this peaceful, natural setting.

Doll Mtn is a very nice campground with spacious sites. It is within just a few minutes drive to two nice breweries and a beautiful winery. My only negative is that I wish they had cut the grass on the campsites.

I received a certified letter addressing me as a female Mrs. Jane doe, with a citation stating I left my tent, hatchet, and trash at my campground. This was my family's first camping experience with my four kids one of which is disabled. The letter stated that I, Mrs Jane doe (I'm a male, never heard of this person) abandoned my tent and other items as well as littered around the campsite. My family, on the first, experience as a family camping trip, with my disabled daughter and 3 other children were cited for leaving beer bottles, cigarette butts, a tent, a hatchet, and various other trash. The letter stated that the campground was immediately inspected upon departure on June 10th. We left the campground on June 9th due to a forecast of possible 60 mph winds (we were camping in a tent). We cleaned the area very well and my wife even stated that "it looks like we were never here" to which I responded "that's the way it should be".This was my first camping trip as a family and I thought I could Instill in my young children how nice it was to disconnect from technology and enjoy nature, instead I am going to court with ample evidence.TLDR: Avoid at all costs. The campground itself was ok but no lake access except for boat ramp that doesn't allow swimming or fishing. You could also possibly end up with a fine that's so outrageous it defies common sense, as who abandons a tent and tools at the campsite????

We stayed in site H-1 for 6 nights. It is a large level pull through site. So beautiful and peaceful for our entire stay. Bath house was clean and well stocked. We will be back!

We camped at site #48, which is considered a walk-in site. The short trail to the campsite was very manageable despite our ridiculous amount of gear, and the site itself was great. The camp site was very private, even with the other sites nearby, and the tree cover provided great shade all day. The campground itself was well kept, and the hosts were polite. I had only 2 gripes. The first was to echo other complaints about the bathrooms being too far. They really were only manageable by driving to them, it would be nice to have at least a couple of privies near the walk-in sites. My other complaint is the parking at the boat ramp. It is labeled as boat trailer only parking and all others are to park in the "overflow" across the street. The overflow is just a tiny turn-around with a couple of spaces that are really supposed to be for the campsites located there, which seemed like barely enough room for more than a few cars. In the main boat ramp parking area, I was there on a Saturday during Memorial Day Weekend, there were only 3 vehicles with trailers and around 6-8 hauling kayaks/canoes on their roof. Please designate some spots in the boat ramp area for paddlers to park. Thankfully most of the people there that day (including us) ignored the signs and parked where it made sense anyway.

Doll Mountain Campground offers large sites, most with some view of Carters Lake. Paved roads, concrete pads, water and electric at each RV site, newer bath house on first loop from gate.Rent a boat at Carters Marina, visit Ellijay or Blue Ridge (where you can ride the Smoky Mountain Railway). Or drive a little further to Amicalola Falls State Park (Southern Trailhead of the Appalachian Trail). This is a great destination for camping in the mountains.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
