Awesome COE campground just outside of Ellijay, Ga. The road going in is an adventure with switchbacks and will test your towing skills, but once you're in the park, the sites are all concrete pads, and spacious, with views of the lake below. Very quiet and peaceful, with shower houses and playground facilities for the kids, as well as a boat launch. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Doll Mountain Campground is our annual fall destination since we began camping about 8 years ago. Before that we rented cabins in the Ellijay area. Like every other COE Campground we've visited, the campsites are large and level. All have concrete parking pads, and surfaced campsites (either gravel or 2x6 decks depending on the site you choose). Campers and staff have always been friendly and helpful. The surrounding landscape and Carters Lake are gorgeous and deer are plentiful. We even saw an 8-point buck this year inside the campground. The bathhouses are clean and in working order with plenty of hot water. The one nearest the gate has individual shower rooms protected by locking doors for safety and peace of mind.We love everything about Doll Mountain and would call it perfect if the sites had sewer hook-ups. The well-maintained dump station is the next best thing. So we highly recommend Doll Mountain Campground and the surrounding Georgia Mountains. If you go, visit Tumbling Waters Trail, Merciers Orchards, BJ Reece Orchards, Amicalola Falls (try the zip lining), and Burts Pumpkin Farm (Fall only). Blue Ridge Railway is fun and the towns of Dahlonega and Helen while a bit of a scenic drive, are worth the time. If you like to fish, book a charter with the Fish Slayer (Len Slay). You won't be disappointed My friends and I have caught five striped bass (all over 30 inches long) and lots of spotted bass while fishing with Len. There's more to do and see around North Georgia and Doll Mountain Campground is a great base camp from which to make your daily excursions.Maybe we'll meet you on our next trip!

Rented two sites and was constantly harassed about parking. Family do not come on the second site so we parked over flow vehicles there and still got warnings. We will just do day visits from here forward-

Doll Mountain Campground offers large sites, most with some view of Carters Lake. Paved roads, concrete pads, water and electric at each RV site, newer bath house on first loop from gate.Rent a boat at Carters Marina, visit Ellijay or Blue Ridge (where you can ride the Smoky Mountain Railway). Or drive a little further to Amicalola Falls State Park (Southern Trailhead of the Appalachian Trail). This is a great destination for camping in the mountains.

The sites are well kept with plenty of space and location is close to towns. Volunteers were very helpful and accessible.

Even though it was in the offseason, the restrooms were clean and fully functioning. Everything worked as advertised.

Nice quiet park,; large lot for a 40' RV and tow vehicle. High above the lake, could see through the trees.

I like going to this campsite. I was on site nbr 4 with has a concrete pad and very easy to back in. Good ATT coverage. If,you have a boat there are a couple of ramps to launch your vessel.

Great view for fall! A lot of acorns was the only down fall.

We were a little disappointed that the host was not easy to find. When he rode by, we asked about purchasing firewood to find out we had to go back to town to buy some. It wouldnt have been an issue if we had known before we arrived. And site 4 was nice, but the time of year, fall, was not pleasant with all the acorn bombs falling on the camper. Otherwise, the park is pretty and the weather was perfect.

The down hill into the camp ground is steep but manageable. The parking spots are great and well maintained. There is a steep drop off down to the lake. The apple picking in the fall is great. The apple festival was a huge arts and crafts event. Very cool is thats your sort of thing.
