Carters Lake was stunning. The campground was well maintained and had superior as well as clean bathroom and shower facilities. Sites were a bit close to each other and for the most part parallel to the roads.

Doll Mountain was the only Corps of Engineers campground open during December on Carters Lake. Only one loop was open, but that seemed to be plenty for the amount of campers there. The sites were well-spaced, with concrete-paved areas providing for clean camping, but most also had a tent pad as well. There was a brand-new bathhouse had three private individual, heated rooms with shower, toilet, and sink. These were very nice and clean. Because it was winter time there were clear views of the lake. The host was very knowledgeable and helpful. This campground was close driving distance to several mountain biking/hiking areas. We visited the trails at Talking Rock Nature Preserve which were well-maintained with experience levels from easy to challenging. Cartersville is an easy drive away and offer three top-rated museums to visit: the Booth Museum of Western Art, Savoy Automobile Museum, and Tellus Science Museum. We will be coming back here!

Our first time camping. Great experience and a big thank you to Chris for helping us out with the plumbing on our camper. Also a big hello to Ms Peggy. Thank you for being so nice. Stay safe

We hadnt been to Doll Mtn. in several years, and are so glad we had the opportunity to spend a few days there. Loved our site!

We loved Doll Mountain! It's high on a ridge, so there are limited camping spots and there is no water access apart from the boat dock. But the water is wonderful! We loved kayaking on it. We will be back!
