With some services understandably unavailable, remaining staff were doing their best to keep things running. This is still a lovely park and I hope it remains so.

This is a jewel of a park. Used it as our home base for floating the upper Buffalo River and fishing on the White River. We drove up to the restaurant, hoping to buy some ice. Seems like theyre renovating it, but while we were there, we discovered a gorgeous view of the buffalo river and our campground. I hope we get back sometime.

This is a great campground. The sites are nice, the bathrooms are nice, and the views are great.

We came to Buffalo point right after the terrible floods in April 20 25. Our original reserve campsite had been partially washed away so they put us in the first come first serve a loop at a 17. Bathrooms were nothing special but adequate and clean. The Rangers were very helpful. There's a great bluff of rocks below the a loop that you can sit on and watch the sunrise and the sunset. Definitely no Verizon service in the campground, but the Ranger station has Wi-Fi and wild bills at the intersection of 14 and 268. Also has Wi-Fi if you need service. The overlook and forest and campground trails were easy to get around on and mostly well marked, except for some rocky areas we were there mid week and the a loop was mostly empty until Friday night. The gravel part was accessible anytime and never crowded. The a loop is mostly forested while the BNC loops are very exposed. We preferred the a loop to the others, but did not realize until after we got there. we had an extremely quiet visit and very relaxing. We hung hammocks at our campsite without incident.

It was very nice to be a few yards away from the restrooms and showers. Clean, well-kept tent only campground. We were able to hike down to the river and start our hike on the Indian Rockhouse Trail right from our campsite. A shame we had to leave a day early because of Tornado warnings, but that's just the time of year we picked.

Nice campgrounds, sites were a little close to each other, but good water, no cell service.

Beautiful area! Camp sites spacious and well maintained. The bathrooms are overall clean, need updating but functional and generally well kept- the shower is a one temp:hot hot hot hot hot! While we loved having a hot shower there needs to be a way to adjust or just turn the one temp down a bit.

Great place to camp! Easy access to the river, clean sites, however do NOT follow the directions to the waypoint this app gives you! Google the location first and follow that address! Otherwise, a great choice whether you choose to take a tent or bring a camper

Campground was awesome. This spot is a little hard to back into. I have a 41' trailer. There is a huge tree in the way when backing in, but other than that, great spot. You can see the river from this campsite. Would definitely stay here again.

I was very impressed with this camp ground . A special shout out to Gidget, the nicest park ranger ever. She called us before arrival to alert us that our site had been moved due to a water issue at the booked site. She kept checking on us every day to make sure the new site was ok for us and she provided us with a lot of useful info about the area . The camp is laid out along a long stretch of the river , and all sites are fairly close to the water. The natural beauty of the area is stunning . Many different birds are chirping all around you and the stars at night are amazing . Just be warned of gnats, they came out as soon as the weather got a bit warmer. We made the mistake of not shutting all the windows of our trailer tight. They are so small that they come through the mosquito screens . They dont sting but are still super annoying .

Very well maintained and relaxing! The walk-in camping sites were close to parking and public restrooms that were clean and well-lit. The staff was very friendly and kept us informed on incoming weather when we didn't have cell service. Hope to come back in the future :)

We camped at site D69, which was in a great location, away from the main road and private, yet close to the bathrooms. Highly recommend this campground!

Great campground! Quiet and peaceful. Interesting historical sites in the area. River was low, but was still able to float a bit. Nice dark sky site!
@MichaelC616917 · Camped on Oct 20, 2024 at Campsite #C44
The park was clean, peaceful and in a beautiful setting. There was access to the river, good trails, and overlooks. A park employee came by a nd cautioned us about fire safety, but the NPS deemed fire pit campfires could safely be used in spite of state general burn bans.
@AustinS6970290 · Camped on Oct 12, 2024 at Campsite #B29
Great campsite with a great view overlooking the Buffalo River. Concrete pad is level side to side, slopes down to the rear some but not too bad. B28 is currently shut down and there are some trees and growth towards B30, both provide this site with some nice privacy. Bathrooms are directly across from this site. 2 minute walk to the river access. The Indian Rockhouse Trail is about a 3.5 mile loop and fairly strenuous in some parts with some steep incline and decline, but is well worth the hike. The Overlook Trail is shorter, only about 1.5 miles but is also a great hike early in the morning to catch a sun rise.

We loved everything about this park. Lots of things to do and great for kids. Our site at D68 was peaceful and close to the water access. Loved all the hiking and the park rangers at this park truly go above and beyond! They made it such a great experience for my children. The only negative was expecting the dark park because of their ratings and other campers would leave bright lights on all night. Wish it was put on reservations as a policy to turn string lights and other bright lights off by a certain time so you can truly experience the beautiful dark park how youre meant to. Highly recommend and we cant wait to go back!

Quiet campground in October. Indian Rock House trail is a good hike. However, many trees down across the trail. Maybe the trail will be cleared by spring.

The weather made all the difference. The level of the river was perfect for canoeing upstream. Campground was clean and quiet. Would love to come back sometime.

This is a lovely campground. Nestled in the woods, near the Buffalo River. It was quiet and clean.

We have been coming to Buffalo Point almost yearly since 1997 and we love it here! We camp here and use it as a base to visit surrounding areas. We visit Blanchard Springs, Mountain View, Flippin and Cotter and just take in the scenic views. There is no cell signal while in the campground so it is time you can be completely disconnected.
@SuzySA4CD1866B · Camped on Aug 4, 2024 at Campsite #C41
Overall it was a great trip! Shower house left a little to be desired. Whatever was in the water there burned horribly if it got in your eyes or any cuts/bug bites. Camp sites were clean. A park employee did come speeding by on a lawnmower and sprayed dust/sand/grass clippings allover our campsite and table, luckily we had most of our food put away, but he could have seriously injured my small kids that were playing

The scenery is spectacular. Bring your telescope for some amazing star gazing. No light pollution here.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
