It was such a great trip. August is a hot time of year, of course, so the river was really nice. There are a couple spots where a very cold stream joins the river, which was really nice to just float and play in as it mixes with the warmer Buffalo river. There is almost no cell phone signal anywhere in the park, so plan to be completely disconnected from the world while you are there. For those of us that rely on technology more than average, it was a nice break but would have been a problem if we didn't plan for it. We brought some physical games to play and downloaded a couple movies to watch at night.Speaking of the nights, the stars are amazing! We had a couple clear nights and we went out and just looked at the stars for quite a while. You can see so many more stars there because they aren't being hidden by the lights of civilization. I highly recommend that.

D74 was level, clean and had a nice layout. The bathhouse was close by and was clean. There was a trail to the river close by which was really convenient. The entire campground was clean, well-kept and quiet.

We had the best time. The campsite was nice and level, so parking was a breeze. There were park rangers walking around regularly and they would answer any of your questions. We walked a little to the left and had a walk down to the river with a nice beach area. It was pretty shallow here but the kids had fun. We drove down to the swimming hole multiple times. It was beautiful and pretty private. We will definitely be back

Great Camp hosts, and the grass was well-maintained and mowed. Bathrooms on loop B were clean but a little outdated and in need of a remodel. ** BE Careful, check your site's trees and limbs. A very large tree limb ( + 100 lbs) fell onto a neighbor's camper. Luckily, they were not there when it fell; it could have seriously injured someone or could have been fatal. Needs to be surveyed by a tree service to be proactive to prevent an avoidable incident. Loved the location near the river!

Scenery is beautiful. Our campsite was nice. The bath house could use some hooks to hang towels but the water was a great temperature.

We had such a wonderful week camping and floating the Buffalo River. The campground is one of our families favorite places to stay. Our site was mostly shaded and not too far from the bathrooms and showers. We will always come back to Buffalo Point.

Rules change over the years. We received a note because we had a paper plate in the fire ring. We have started many fires with paper plates over 20 years of camping. In prior years at Buffalo Point we were told not to use outdoor showers because of phosphates, this year outdoor showers abounded. In prior years it was a big no no to park in the grass, this year no problem with four vehicles in one site. Inconsistency is a problem.

We stayed 4 nights in early June, 25. The CG was mostly full, but after a lot of rain Saturday morning, there were a few empty spaces. The area was pretty quiet overall. I checked out the bath house in Loop B and the restrooms near the swimming access area and they were fairly clean. We drove around to look at the other loops and they were at least 2/3 full. We ate dinner at the Buffalo Point restaurant and it was delicious! They also have breakfast- looked like a good menu. We hiked the Over Look Trail and really enjoyed the river on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. After the rainfall early Saturday morning, the river rose 12 feet Saturday evening, so we didnt enjoy the usually clear waters- but we fished a little to pass the time. The sites have good picnic tables and fire rings. I could occasionally get cell signal for texts and sometimes my cell phone would ring on the beach and in my camper, but when I needed consistent signal, I would go up to the ranger station/contact area.

Best site of this trip. Fishing was promising.Floaters Beware!An entire family group lost many of their boats and required a swift water rescue for one. Check conditions before you take yourself or your KIDS down river.

I wasn't able to go to the reunion with my family. I was recovering from an attack of Covid. According to my children, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members the pavilion was clean and was a very good time for them all.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
