My favorite place on my entire 22 day camping trip was Buffalo Point! ( I stayed at several camp grounds) I brought my own kayak and I paddled an hour and a half up stream, then I coasted back down the river. I stopped and had a picnic lunch on some rocks in the middle of the river and ended my trip back at camp. The following day I hiked the Indian Rock House Trail, which was also beautiful.

We stayed at site C51 in Buffalo Point in mid-October and it was great! Just long enough for our 35 foot RV and a tow vehicle. Good spacing between sites with lots of shade as well and a partial view of the river. There was a trail down to the river only a couple of sites over. We had hoped to canoe the river but the flow was pretty slow so we decided against it since we didn't want to paddle constantly! The trails in the campground area are pet friendly and very nice. Don't miss the CCC-built pavilion! The bathrooms were clean, ranger was friendly and the "day use" area at Buffalo Point was beautiful with the bluff across the river and a wide view. In the summer, this would be a busy place! I recommend this campground.

Site was clean and well managed through the current adolescent drama that is American politics. Nature showed up and did its part too.

The area was very nice and quiet. The camp site was level. River was low but people where still enjoying the water. The Rush ghost town is only a few minutes from the campground and is a neat place to see if you like historical sites.

Buffalo River is our favorite place to come in all four seasons. The buffalo point campground is a great place to experience the peace of the River. The hiking trails especially the the rock house trail are beautiful. Kayaking the water is a must!

Great campground! We were in spot 42, we couldn't see the river from there, but we had a great time. There is almost no cell service, we have AT&T and we could get a little service in places.

As always the outdoor experience is awesome! The campsite and restroom areas were clean and maintained. Beautiful area along the river.

Absolutely loved staying here! For 2 girls in our late 20s from Texas, we were a little nervous. We felt incredibly safe here though!

Great park but I wish the visitor center would have been open.

Everything was good except the womens shower foul stand to have more places to hang things in the shower and by the sink!

Beautiful area, floats are great. Camp ground was good but the swarms of flys and knats made sitting outside annoying. They really need to spray the camp grounds more. There were fewer bugs at the dump station

Beautiful location and had a lot of fun!
@ChrisS8694045 · Camped on Sep 24, 2025 at Campsite #E
Most of the campsites in our area had very little flat space for tents.

We always have a great time. Park Ranger Gidget is super nice and always takes time to stop in and visit. The office helped us out last time with finding us a new float experience and we will be floating that route next time

This campground is so peaceful. The river is very relaxing and is a great place to float.
@JamesE8517315 · Camped on Sep 18, 2025 at Campsite #D60
The campsite is great but the stairway to the river at section C is difficult for older folks to navigate at the bottom
@DavidK6336379 · Camped on Sep 18, 2025 at Campsite #C48
This park was beautiful with close access to the river. Best part was the ZERO cell reception. Take in nature!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
