Beautiful well maintained grounds. Campground bathrooms could have been cleaner.

Scenery is beautiful. Our campsite was nice. The bath house could use some hooks to hang towels but the water was a great temperature.

We had such a wonderful week camping and floating the Buffalo River. The campground is one of our families favorite places to stay. Our site was mostly shaded and not too far from the bathrooms and showers. We will always come back to Buffalo Point.

Rules change over the years. We received a note because we had a paper plate in the fire ring. We have started many fires with paper plates over 20 years of camping. In prior years at Buffalo Point we were told not to use outdoor showers because of phosphates, this year outdoor showers abounded. In prior years it was a big no no to park in the grass, this year no problem with four vehicles in one site. Inconsistency is a problem.

We stayed 4 nights in early June, 25. The CG was mostly full, but after a lot of rain Saturday morning, there were a few empty spaces. The area was pretty quiet overall. I checked out the bath house in Loop B and the restrooms near the swimming access area and they were fairly clean. We drove around to look at the other loops and they were at least 2/3 full. We ate dinner at the Buffalo Point restaurant and it was delicious! They also have breakfast- looked like a good menu. We hiked the Over Look Trail and really enjoyed the river on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. After the rainfall early Saturday morning, the river rose 12 feet Saturday evening, so we didnt enjoy the usually clear waters- but we fished a little to pass the time. The sites have good picnic tables and fire rings. I could occasionally get cell signal for texts and sometimes my cell phone would ring on the beach and in my camper, but when I needed consistent signal, I would go up to the ranger station/contact area.

Best site of this trip. Fishing was promising.Floaters Beware!An entire family group lost many of their boats and required a swift water rescue for one. Check conditions before you take yourself or your KIDS down river.

I wasn't able to go to the reunion with my family. I was recovering from an attack of Covid. According to my children, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members the pavilion was clean and was a very good time for them all.

Renting a kayak or bringing your own is a must. A few good hiking trails. Not much else to do. Buggy. The Rangers and camp hosts were GREAT.

Nice campground. Well cared for. Could use an outside water spigot at the restroom for washing sand off when coming up from the beach.

Campsites are close together. The best sites are on the end of each loop. We did the 3 1/2 mile hike out and back to Indian rock house. Very good hike. Lots of interesting things to see but more strenuous than you might think. Lots of up and down. Would not recommend it for warm weather because of ticks.

This campground was very nice. Beautiful area right on the Buffalo river. Easy access for rv rigs and site's were fairly level for easy set up.Site length is a thing here though, so check that when booking a camp site. Nice bathroom and shower facilities for campers to use, especially on a river campground probably the best I've ever seen. There is no cell phone coverage in the campground, but you can drive back up to the ranger station and get signal. Lot's of outdoor activities in this beautiful area. Would definitely go back again, however plan ahead and book early because this campground is very busy and difficult to get a reservation during the summer river floating season.

Buffalo Point never disappoints us. The new fire rings aren't as user friendly as the old ones, but better than the ones that are a foot tall.

This is a beautiful campground along the Buffalo River. We took several long hikes from the trails right at the campground. The view from the river access is stunning.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
