We always have such an amazing time here. Its beautiful, clean and just very pleasant. The people are kind. Facilities are great! We do wish there was cold showers in the summer!

The facility was nice, but cleanliness was lacking. When we arrived it was covered in goose droppings. We had to shovel the goose droppings off of the concrete areas, but all of the grassy areas were still a mess.

I have been going to Prairie Creek for 54 years. The campground is clean with lots of trees. For the most part the sites are level. The campground was designed and developed when RV were typically smaller, so fitting a large unit into some parts of the campground can be a little more challenging. I go to enjoy the lake. Boating, swimming, fishing. Years ago the swimming area use to be much nicer. I don't know what happened, but the concrete/sand bottom area has been removed. One you get into the water it is still clean and refreshing. I appreciated there were life jackets that could be borrowed for use at the swimming area. The pit toilets have been upgraded to flush toilets and the shower house that we used has also gotten an upgrade. They are both more rustic but functional. Given the economical pricing of camping compared to other places this is a great place to visit.

We had a good time at the camp sites. The public boat ramp and swim beach was not the best experience. There was trash left at the swim beach. The boat ramp was way too busy and people being rude.

Park was very busy and therefore the restrooms/showers were well used and dumpsters running over by Sunday afternoon. Both issues were taken care of and resolved by Monday evening.

We were disappointed since its a Core of engineers park. We expected a higher level of quality. Things like the picnic tables, and the fact that there were so much vegetation that needed to be taken care of.Maybe we were an in an area where we shouldve known it wouldnt be quite as nice as some of the other areas.It felt like it was not cared for.

The swim area needs to be cleaned up. Geese feces everywhere and it makes it difficult to walk, not to mention to utilize the covered pavilions. The bathrooms and Shower houses need attention. The tornado that hit the area was more than a year ago and many down trees in camping area makes it difficult to walk to lake.

Like a lot of FPS sites, there was only electric connection. There are FPS sites without that, but it is a must for me. I assumed there would also be water, but no. Of course, we put some in the tank and it serviced us OK. The basic benefit was this campsite was positioned between Bentonville and Eureka Springs. So, the campground was not special, but it served our geographic purpose. There were pit toilets and no showers available in our loop. Pretty basic overall.

I have camped at Prairie Creek three times this year and have enjoyed each visit. I would like to acknowledge Gina at the front gate. On one of my stays she went above and beyond to assist me in relocating to a more appropriate site. It was near closing time and she could have easily told me that it was not possible to relocate, but she made some calls and was able to assist me which made my stay much more enjoyable. I really appreciated Gina's extra effort and the condition of the sites and facilities were excellent. I would recommend Prairie Creek to anyone seeking a great camping experience.

Site 21. Nice fairly level site. Our travel trailer is 16. It would be hard to get a longer trailer in site 21. Close to flushing toilets and shower house. Campground and day use areas are well maintained and clean. Lake was beautiful. Short east drive to Rogers and Bentonville for food, shopping and the Crystal Bridges museum.

I had a camp site next to the lake it was so beautiful and peaceful. I drove from Denver and stopped at the day area to get a couple hours sleep 1st day.. I ended up coming back and camping for 3 days. I definitely will make it a point of staying here if I come through again.Thank you

First trip to the Ozarks and we will definitely return. We loved the campground, very quiet and clean. Close to mountain biking trails, which was our primarily reason for the trip. Would also be a great spot for boating. Only complaint is that the garbage bins are sparsely located and at times were overflowing.

We had site 86. Long enough for our 42ft 5th wheel. What the site description failed to mention is that backing into it would be extremely difficult for a large camper. Between three large trees and almost a 75 degree turn, there was no way of threading our camper into the site between the trees. Luckily our friends had site 89 and we were able to swap sites with them. 89 was much easier to back into. Once parked/leveled, our stairs, even fully extended were still about a foot away from touching the ground. The pad is not wide and was not level. It sloped down hill and so the steps were hanging over/off the pad even though we were as far to the other side of the pad as possible. We needed blocks and a step stool to be able to be able to traverse our steps. I have never been to a campground where the ticks were so bad!!! There was so much leaf litter around the camp. We had a small leaf blower, but was not powerful enough to push the amount of leaves away. We couldnt even enjoy sitting around the campfires or at the picnic table to eat without constantly pulling ticks off while eating or trying to enjoy the fire. We even sprayed ourselves/clothes down and could not keep them off. Having our dogs made it worse. We had to check them and pull several ticks off them through out the day even though they were treated with tick preventer. Ticks were crawling in our camper. I understand trying to keep things as natural as possible but the diseases ticks carry made this trip UNSAFE! The campground needs to be treated for ticks and campsites cleared of leaves. Honestly a prescribed burn over the winter would have done that place some good! An older couple from Iowa showed up with a 1/2T P/U towing about a 28ft 1/2T towable 5th wheel. They had site 88. Even for them it was a struggle to get there camper backed in. At least a 10pt turn with 3-4 of us helping direct him in while watching his camper and truck from hitting trees.

They have done a great job getting things cleaned up from the tornado last summer.

Good campsite! A bit of damage from recent heavy rains (we spent some time cleaning our site), but the campground on the whole was very nice.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
