No trash container-previous occupant left large bags at site, which animals got into-no one came by entire stay, 4 nites. No park host in attendance-ugly sign on host spot do not knock on door-off duty/contact ranger in emergency . check in instructions said contact host-never appeared/realize most camp area closed off-season, but should be someone on site if reservations accepted & campground partially open. Grounds quiet, which is nice, but security questionable w/no one on duty 5 days we were there. Someone not fulfilling host responsibilities/duties.

Site is very hard to level your trailer. The east side at least 2 1/2 inches lower than the west. It also should specify 24 foot Trailer so you can level the trailer front to back. Not good!! No people at the gate.

We love camping at Prarie Creek. It was a perfect camping experience. Be aware that site 080 is pretty sloped so be prepared.

We come here every year and camp in the same spot. I made reservations for our spot about 2 months ago. When we arrived a couple of hours early we were told the spot would be a little tight. Then told the people in the spot were still there. No problem since we were early but then were told we could pick from several other spots that were spots we did not want. The people in our spot were at home over an hour away and would not be able to return until at least 3 check out time and would not be out until around 4. Apparently they were buddies with the attendant and were hoping we would take a different spot so they would not have to move. The camper in our spot was bigger than ours so we knew it was not too tight like the attendant said. We refused to change spots so the attendant called the folks in the spot. The man showed up and moved the trailer across the road from our spot and left close to 4. He did not return until Friday night (Thursday was our arrival time) . The trailer had been parked in our spot for a couple of weeks according to the attendant but the check out date on his tag said leaving the 16th and we arrived the 27th. The man apparently left the camper there for the week and hoped we would not come in for the spot. My problem is that we made a reservation for a reason, this was our favorite spot and it was big enough to accommodate our big family. This man had gone home an hour away and did not plan to move out of our spot hoping we would not take it and he was working with the attendant. The attendant should have told him to vacate the spot because it was reserved or at least be available to move it out on time. We did get in right at check in time but I really think it was fishy that they tried to get us to move when we were legitimately reserved and had already paid for the spot.

Although being out of season, I didn't expect much service--I certainly expected to find a dumpster for my trash. While I sympathize with the campground hosts being quarantined due to Covid, it seems there should have been better alternatives for questions, etc. And, with the wind blowing, etc., it isn't wise to leave trash sitting out to be picked up as it will just end up in the beautiful lake. I was a bit surprised that so few campsites were open as well--given that most were filled up. Having a dozen more sites would be helpful

I went to me campsite at 3:45pm and there was still white Subaru Outback and Camper there. Camper was not hooked up and stuff was still set up outside of camper. I went to gate and called the number on the banner. Nobody answered. I sent email and told them the same thing and to cancel my reservation for both nights. And that I as a camper shouldn’t have to police the campsite and ask people to leave I asked for full refund but got Zero reply. I ended up going into Bentonville and renting a place at The Bike Inn with Jeremy and Tiffany. Both of which were outstanding host.

Bathrooms closed while we were there late dec. 2020. Sites not very level.

We stayed at campsite 080. The site was extremely sloped, there wasn't any shade, and the bathrooms were locked. I tried calling the listed number to ask where we could find an unlocked bathroom but no one ever answered. When I finally found a park attendant he told me we could use the bathroom by the boat ramp but we would have to drive there. When i got there, those bathrooms were locked too. We ended up leaving a day early.

Older, but well maintained, campground on outskirts of Beaver lake. Not all sites level (as most newer COE campsites are) as the campground is situated in hilly terrain. Most sites are situated on hillside a couple of hundred feet from waters edge. Pea Ridge military park is within easy driving distance and a must see for those interested in US history.

We always have a great time camping at Prarie Creek. It's easy to reserve on-line & the camp grounds are nice and close to the marina.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
