We found the campground well maintained and clean. Since it was late in the season, there wasn't any crowds. It would have been nice to have water at the campsites. But, we understood why it was turned off. I would recommend the camping area, and may return again next year.

Love Horseshoe Bend!

Nice campground. I would however like to make note that I think its unfortunate that visitors have to book Friday and Saturdays night together even if we are not able to stay both nights. Particularly in the low season when there is low demand for camp sites.

Really nice campsites with plenty of space.

As always this beautiful park draws me back time and time again.

Amazing views and easy walking around park. Great site. Will definitely come back. The vultures were never an issue and were interesting to watch.

I camped during offseason in the first week of November. Site was as expected, plenty of room, the park was nice. There was no attendant the entire weekend, which may have been due to the shutdowns or the season. I'm not sure. Main problem was that the electric was not on at the site when I arrived. I tried to call the number listed but reached no one. Someone came by the second night of my stay to notify me the electric was back on- they had contacted someone at the park. My trip wasn't greatly affected because I had a generator and enough battery power to operate off grid without issue, but if you were not prepared for that I imagine it could ruin your stay (or at least the groceries in your rv). I hope it was only a one time issue. But plan accordingly.

I really liked the site. It was spacious and not right up next to others. A nice view of the water but back far enough you dont feel the wind coming off the lake. I will visit again!

My family and I had the BEST camping trip ever last week. The site we had was absolutely perfect, the playground was nice for our kids, and even just walking around the park was so beautiful and comfortable. Cant wait to go back in the spring!

I would like to rate the campground 5 stard but the trash dumsters were a fiasco and no doubt a health hazard. Overflowing with trash and attracting buzzards.

Very pleasant experience overall. Some seasonal timing issues with reserving campsites the end of October. Our site with water was available while the whole area without water was closed. Seems backwards to me but must be for some reason. Also the nice bathhouse open the 30th was locked up the 31th.

One of my favorite spots I just wish had more water hook ups at the sites

This site met and exceeded our expectations! Its the most private site (with the exception of 134 immediately nextdoor - think driveway that comes to a T with 133 on the right and 134 on the left). Its downhill and you can only see 3 sites from it. Site 134 was vacant for our entire stay, so we were very secluded. The pictures dont show that you have a grassy area between the driveway and the lake that is about 30ft wide and as long as both sites. It was wonderful for our dogs. Theres also about 100ft between the site and the road.If you have two groups, I think booking 133 and 134 is probably the best setup you could ask for!Backing into 133 was a little more than a 90deg angle so that might be tough with bigger campers but for our popup it was totally fine.At the end of the 30ft grassy area there is a path to the beach / lake!! Not all sites have direct access so this is a gem for sure. He view from the fire pit was stunning.Bathroom was a very short walk and was cleaner than expected. Its a vault toilet but honestly didnt really smell. Granted, in the hot summer I bet it does.We cant wait to come back to this campground and we will be booking 133 for sure! If you like feeling more secluded this is the best site on this loop.

Site 94. I was there during the week so it was very quiet, probably only 1 out of 10 sites occupied. Great biking a long the park roads. Path down to the water from these sites is a bit steep but no problem. Sites 93 and 94 have a perpendicular bend to get you situated in the site, so it can be challenging to maneuver midsize or larger campers. Mine is 25 feet long and length was not an issue but had to almost jackknife the truck to make it work.

Absolutely loved the area and the veiw. Will be back for sure. Only reason I didnt give it a 5 is the main bathroom/showers were to the point were I didnt want to use them.

Beautiful, well-kept campground. Spacious sites with beautiful views. We stayed in site 122, which was north/south facing and had both sunrise and sunset views and an easy walk down to the water for kayaking and fishing. We will definitely be back!

Weekend outing, beautiful setting on Beaver Lake, sites were maintained, several near the lake have fairly steep driveway access, makes backing a challenge. Not enough bath houses with flush toilets, were older facilities and poorly maintained. Vault toilets in several locations also not well maintained. This park has a beautiful setting but is in definite need of some facility updating and better maintenance.

We had a great view, under trees, yet close to the lake. We were able to walk our kayaks to the lake. Water was beautiful and perfect for kayaking. Our campsite was level, however NOT ALL campsites are the same for the price. The one next to us did not have a tent site. Some sites are extremely small, while others are quite large. Be SURE to check out the sites in advance if you can. Our biggest issue though, was Mother Nature. It was the Fall and all of the nuts were falling from the trees. I slipped on an acorn and busted up my knee and twisted my back. Two days later my husband slipped on a hickory nut and broke his elbow!!! We are just beginning retirement and our exploration of Arkansas campsites, so needless to say, this was not the greatest experience, but I don't blame Mother Nature for that. It's called FALL for a reason.

We were in site 21. Awesome views of Beaver Lake. Our site was very spacious. Site 21 is on a small point so you set up where your camp side view is totally unobstructed by another camper. Only your non-camp side view is slightly obstructed from the middle forward. The bathrooms and showers were clean.
@JenniferP95895 · Camped on Oct 13, 2025 at Campsite #169
We loved our campsite. It was gorgeous with large trees changing colors and the water was in view as well. Would absolutely pick to stay in the campsite again however I would be concerned about staying during a more busy time as the camp ground didnt have many bathrooms. The area we were in had 1 toilet for a huge amount of campsites. We only spent 1 night so we didnt use the showers but they looked not great. Again though the site was absolutely stunning!
@BrianM6776107 · Camped on Oct 7, 2025 at Campsite #80
We stayed 6 nights in Horseshoe bend at #80 back in sight, this is in deep shade with a view of the lake looking south, we have a 32 ft 5th wheel and we were lucky on arrival the camp site across the road was empty at the time so I was able to pull into that space and I had a straight shot backing it into our space, the roads around this loop are narrow blacktop, we enjoyed this location and would rent it again, however upon leaving there is a tight curve 20 yards from #80 and my driver's side camper tires dropped into a deep trench and scuffed up my camper tires, they need to fill this long trench with gravel to help with this problem. Also at this location you are quite a ways from restrooms, they need another nice restroom with showers close to this end. We had electricity only and had to haul water, but the faucet was close .

Very nice old campground. Very steep hill to back down to camp site though. Lake is awesome.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
