Wonderfully clean and well maintained campground. Showers and bathrooms were spic and span. Heard/saw lots of birds.

One work: HORRIBLE! A single bathhouse that was disgustingly filthy. Showers were dirty and water pooled on the floor rather than draining downward. Of the three showers, one wasn't working, and the other two ran for about 4 seconds before you had to push the button again. One of the toilets was clogged with a mountain of poop and paper in it. No trash can in the bathroom. The single bathhouse was 3/4 of a mile from our campsite. A local mens/ladies room to our camping loop were pit toilets that were equally disgusting. This was the worst recreation.gov campsite I've ever stayed at.

An excellent camping experience! Top marks in all areas aside from the smoker in Ladies shower refusing to stop...

The campground host did not check up on the campground very much. We had three groups of campers that stayed at 96, 97 and 98. They gathered at site 96 and partied hard. They stayed up until 1:00 am drinking and yelling and screaming. They were drunk. There were 4 cars that were allowed to park at one site. Even though there was a burn ban they had a campfire. There are no Rangers on duty between 10 pm and 6 am during the off-season months (per the host). Two nights later a similar situation occurred again but thankfully not as bad. The campground is close to town and must be a good party site especially for those sites farther away from the host. The next day the host said to just call 911. He said you could also come up and get him until about 1 am and he would help. We were in a tent.

Only issue we had. Was there were no signs for the shower house or the dumpsters, which they could put one on the other side. Still loved our stay. Beautiful property.

It a beautiful place but the ranger was unfriendly. We reserved 2 spots with one under my name and one under my mothers name. Upon arrival we realized I had flipped the names assigned to the spots because my mother required more level ground due to bad ankles. It didnt matter that we had both spots reserved he required my mom to park her vehicle at the upper spot assigned to her name even though she was set up at the lower spot. Later we received a warning to take down our porta potty tents or receive a citation. We were using self contained bucket toilets with no spillage or leakage. I went to the entrance and spoke with a different person there and was told they want you to use their bathrooms which for the most part are disgusting pit toilets and the one flushable bathroom we visited had no soap or way to dry your hands. Their reasoning behind all this is that they dont want you to contaminate the ground water despite the fact that all the wildlife in the area didnt use the toilets either. We noticed several people around us going to the bathroom behind trees but because we attempted to be a little more sanitary we were threatened with a citation. Our campsite was also littered with hundreds of cigarette butts and other small items of garbage which we attempted to pick up a majority of the trash, but there was so much it was impossible for us to collect it all. We will not be going back to this campground again. Spend you money at a campground that is cleaner and friendlier.

We wanted a campground outside of bentonville to go into town for dinner, rent bikes etc. It was just what we were looking for, spread out enough spots and private, shaded with trees and we went to Hobbs state park nearby and rode a trail. Would go back!
