Best camping spot out of all of big lake unless you have people that camp at 20 and complain because theyre conjoined together. We love 19 always place our tent on the beach area its beautiful to wake up to. Riding our dirtbikes and quads and coming back for a swim while jamming to music. Big lake will always be our go to spot and the middle of August is the best no mosquitoes because the baby frogs hatch and eat them.

We were in spot A001, directly next to the entrance and camp host. Not on the water, but so close it was a 2 minute walk to the shore. This spot was a little noisy as its next to the main road and where cars exited at all hours, but the space was enormous. Our kids had loads of room to roam, play hide and seek, and could have easily fit 3 tents with privacy. We didnt have any issue with mosquitos but there were leeches present.For a holiday weekend it was a pretty active campground - lots of ATVs and bikes, but didnt negatively affect the experience. We loved how close it was to Suttle Lake & Lodge (grabbed drinks and meal one day) and only 25 mins from Sisters. Well be back and a mid week visit when its a tiny bit quieter would be heavenly!

The site stayed 25ft RV or 25ft trailer. We are 21 nose to tail and there was not enough room to back in. We also have a Tacoma, so not a big truck. Jackknifed, helped my multiple others, and almost 2 hours later we had to give up. Site 4 should not state they have the length capacity for a trailer. Because it doesnt.

Lovely campground. If you have a trailer or rv definitely walk through the campground first before booking. It is very tight and I wouldnt trust the sight descriptions

Big lake is a very nice lake. However, there are some camping spots that need stomps removed to make them more RV friendly.

Not a single mosquito...that should be enough to make it great, but it gets even better. Gorgeous mornings, gorgeous skies at night. Even if you don't get the "good" sites they are all good. Not over crowded sites, good shade, quiet and clean bathrooms. That's just the sites, then there is the lake. The lake is clean sandy beaches, tiny toads and beautiful views. It's a great time. Bring a paddle board, it's the best way to see the lake.

Our campsite was on the lake, which was very nice. Quite dusty campground, but we had a great time.

Be ready for relaxation, beautiful mountain scenery, great hiking, and not to far from Sisters where there is so much to see and explore. Remember your swim suit and any water sport toys you own!

This sport is okay alittle water access but the parking sport was awful it will maybe fit just a tiny standard 4 door car no suv or truck my husband backed out truck in all the way and the front of the truck was still blocking the road we ended up giving the spot away and going to the free camping.

We love this campground because we're able to use our dirt bikes and kayaks on the same trip. The lake water is warmer than you would think and very clean. The mosquitos are no exaggeration so prepare for that. One very annoying thing is that the people who camp in the dispersed sites outside the campground come daily to put their garbage in the park Dumpsters, overfilling them and making them unusable for paying park guests. It also increases the possibility of bears coming into the campground. When we asked about it, the host said there's nothing he could do about it, so that's unfortunate.

Such a nice campground. Yes the skeeters are hungry in June but its not too hard to keep them at bay.

We had an excellent camping trip. A lot of mosquitos but is was in June so that is to be expected.

Great place to kayak! Beautiful views. However believe them about the mosquitoes!

Pros: beautiful campsite, quiet location, clean bathrooms, and easy access to outdoor activities and shopping in Sisters.Cons: the mosquitoes! When we first arrived we were swarmed by them. Putting on big spray, lighting citronella candles, and starting a fire helped, but we were still getting bitten. I felt especially bad for the dog since we couldn't put bug spray on him. Mosquitoes were not nearly as bad at other places we went to in the area, and we ended up not really wanting to spend time at camp and mostly hanging out in the tent when we were there. Might be better at a different time of year but in June I would probably pick a different camp ground next time!

Beautiful spot for an early season trip. Snow was still on the ground so the mosquitoes were not as plentiful. Always gorgeous views.

Campsites are larger than average and spaced further apart than your typical reservable campgrounds, which is something I always look for and appreciate! The campgrounds were well cared for and the lake views were priceless! Be prepared for sand and snow (season depending) :)If you are someone who might be bothered by noises of ATV/Dirt bikes and/or chainsaws, this is not the place for you. Didnt bother us, but something I noticed and wasnt expecting. That being said, those campers who were riding were very respectful so mornings and nights were quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be coming back!

Our site was in the location of a very sharp turn. We were unable to use it and left. The lake is beautiful. The site was plenty long but even a 30ft fifth wheel couldnt get in to it. I think sites should include backing clearances and angles and boulders. Not just length of the site.

The lakeside campsite and mountain views were beautiful, but this was not a tranquil experience, and I would not return to this campground due to the noise: (1) The campground is right next to Santiam Pass OHV staging area and trail system - this created a lot of off-road motorcycle and quad noise nearby as well as in the campground as many of the OHV users were also using the campground overnight. (2) The person next to me had an RV which ran a generator all night.I ended up staying one night and leaving early in the morning as soon as I could.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
