Restrooms very clean. Campground very clean. Host site clearly marked.

Swarms of mosquitoes. We saw dense columns of mosquitoes 30 foot tall, and we got attacked so bad that I thought we'd die! With this kind of infestation deet repellant didn't work. Obviously there is no mosquito control in place at this site, and no warnings were posted. We had a hellish night.

Great campground. Lake was east to access and beautiful area. If you have a problem with mosquitos BRING BUG SPRAY. You’re camping so obviously there’s going to be bugs but the mosquitos were really out for blood.

Great location- Site 32 was amazing. Next to the lake and a large space for a good size family.

Stayed in #37 it was pretty great. The host was nice and answered all questions. The only downside was the water wasn’t available. Sisters is only 35 minutes away so it wasn’t a huge problem.

We reserved spot #37 for a wed-friday in late June. After we got all set up and bought wood from the super nice camp host, we realized spot #36 was even better!!! Easy access to a sandy lake spot for swimming. We got the approval to switch spots as it was a first come first serve spot & there was hardly anyone else there. Our bliss was short lived, we were nearly eaten alive by all the mosquitoes! Bug spray, candles and full coverage clothing did nothing to stop them. The firewood we were sold smelled like chemicals and the wood did not burn well at all. We packed up and went home less than 24hrs after arriving. Will definitely be back to Big Lake - just later in the season though, beautiful view of Mt Washington!

Beautiful lake. This seems to be a better place if your plans are off roading with motorized vehicles. Access to the lake from campsites is difficult and there are not hiking trails other than those used for off road vehicles.
