North Bend Park Campground in Mecklenburg County is located 1 hr 8 min north of Wake Forest, NC with an elevation of 342 feet. There are a total of 234 campsites including 15 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 218 sites can accommodate RVs between 10 and 80 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 131 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $24.00 to $125.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, swimming, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

It used to be a very quiet place, now they let in a lot of loud drunks.

Very nice campground, beautiful venue. Facilities were very well maintained. Of the COEs that we have stayed at this one is in the top 2. 1 thing of note, other campers do not control their pets. The agreement to stay states that your pets will not be an annoyance to other campers. When your 4 dogs bark at everyone walking or riding by 12 hours a day then that is an annoyance. Camp hosts do not want to deal with this. But to be sure, these animals are annoying and a hindrance. Otherwise this is a great place.

Short camping trip to this hidden gem with the family (about 4 hours). This is our third time here and has camped in multiple sites but this site is definitely my favorite. Private beach front. Quite location. This time of the year not buggy. Unfortunately, the leaves haven't turned yet. There's local store about a mile or two from the site where you can purchase firewood, gas and whatever else you may have forgotten to pack. Across the street is a new Mexican place before that it was a pizza place - hopefully they stay open till our next visit. We tend to meal prep when we camp. Overall, an amazing camping experience and it is the closest you can get to water with a full electrical (50 amp) and water hookup. Till next time!!

We really enjoy this beautiful Army Core of Engineers campground. We had a spot right on the water. I especially enjoy all the walking and bike paths all through the campground.

I love spending time here in North Bend campground. If you want a relaxing and scenic campground then this is the place for it! I've always camped here solo and I have always felt safe being here. The camp host are wonderful they are super helpful and kind. Stargazing on a clear night is spectacular here you'll see some shooting stars! I would recommend bringing a picnic blanket and lay at the beach area for stargazing nights or if you want to skinny dip haha. Definitely recommend this place :)

week days are less busy than weekends. Non trained dogs, barking frequently at walkers or vehicles driving by!!

I've been coming to this park since I was a kid. Best glamping experience you can have, in my humble opinion. Excellent facilities, sites are well-kept and the lake is beautiful!

215 is a good camp site. Of course it is not on the water, and it would never stay here unless the other sites were booked, but there is nothing wrong with this site. North Bend overall is a 5/5 Stars!!!

We were is Site 190 in C campground. The site was well maintained and fitted our needs perfectly. Restrooms were in excellent condition & kept clean.
