I love this campground and have been multiple times, and have plans to return later in the year. Just fair warning, spot 146C has a short level spot at the top of a fairly steep incline. Great site but maybe better for tents or van.

Our family loves camping in North Bend. We come here almost every year because of the breathtaking views and the relaxing atmosphere. This year we did stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. The kids had a great time!

We loved the roadways that we could ride our bikes through . The park is so clean and everyone is so friendly

A neighbor ran a loud generator during allowed hours, and the staff was very accommodating in our request to move sites. My four star rating only reflects the fact that the Corps of Engineers policy allows generators at all. Otherwise, I would give five stars. Facilities were excellent, though, like most places weve camped, there are no dishwashing sinks or areas. This particular site was very nice for its location and direct line of sight views to the beach and restrooms to be able to keep an eye on the kids.

Excellent campground right near the John H. Kerr Dam and Reservoir. Friendly and helpful hosts! Many of the tent sites are on the Roanoke rivers penisulas. If you choose a campsite at waters edge make sure your tent set up can withstand very strong wind, if not choose a more interior protected campsite. There are many maintained gravel paths to the beach's edge so you will always be able to get to the water. Maintenance people do an excellent job of cleaning the shower houses.

Good fishing for catfish at sundown. Very windy so I suggest heavy duty tent pegs. We stayed on site #115 and #121. Fun biking, beach is good for launching kayaks, clean bathrooms and the campground is kept nice.Staff is helpful and responsive. I had to call the front gate to ask them to call the party staying close to us. The wind was blowing hard and started blowing parts of their set up in the lake. They were able to contact the campers and they came back to secure their stuff.

Beaturiful Campground, clean toilets, gorgeous views. This campground is spectacular, I wish it was closer to my home in PA. We were there for a meetup with 30+ other campers and the facility arrange for us to receive a talk by one of the Rangers.

Well maintained. Park staff was very friendly and helpful to all in our group (44 of us). Bathrooms were always clean. It was a perfect location for our annual meet-up. Ranger Emily gave a great presentation and was very helpful. We could have listened to her for hours.

This is a hidden gem COE campground, well maintained with flat gravel driveways and pads. Very welcoming friendly hosts at entry do a great job keeping everyone swiftly checked in. Many of the campsites are right on the lakes beaches. No matter what campsite you choose there are well maintained paths close by leading to the water's edge and also to the shower houses. Hot private showers/bathroom facilities are very clean. Lots of paved walking or bike paths, boat ramps, a boater's paradise. Rangers regularly drive through the campground.

I love coming here in the winter time. Staff was awesome as always, including Hosts "good people". Bathroom's we're warm and clean. Only issue I had was the raccoon and I fighting over the chicken strips I was cooking outside. Which ended me in the van with the strips and him outside waiting on me to step out . Caught a few nice size bluegill in the lake right off the shore. Great place to go.

Large, beautiful spots. No dishwashing space, or laundry. Gorgeous roads. Shower house was clean, but needs some repairs. Local kids partied without being patrolled.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
