Beautiful campground. Opted for water and electric, both worked well. Our site was a pull-thru, but was steeply sloped, back to font. Noticed that some other sites in our loop were also steeply sloped due to the topography. The campground was well maintained, bathrooms clean.

This was our first stay at Longwood and we stayed on site 47C. The staff was very pleasant and we found the park to be clean, well maintained and quiet. Our site was clean upon arrival and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Never used the bath house or restrooms so I can't speak to those but the beach area was very nice. Cell service for Verizon at least was terrible throughout the park and on our site we were not able to get any tv channels through our digital over the air antenna, which was no big deal to us. I was able to get a good signal though through my Verizon mobile hotspot spot device surprisingly enough since our cell service was so bad. We ventured a few miles into Clarksville and ate at the Bridgewater restaurant which was really great. Did and service was awesome. Definitely pollen on visiting Longwood again but hoping to get a site on the water next time to enjoy the breeze our friends had on their site (57).

Nice large level sites with access to the lake. Lake was pleasantly not very busy for a holiday weekend. Bath houses were clean. My only complaint is the bathhouses, they are a hothouse! We found the bathhouses with all windows closed and exhaust fans not functioning or too small for sq ft.

Site 15 is flat at the top. Driveway is not. Too close to the vault toilet for me.

The worst experience ever and it had nothing to do with the actual park. We got there Friday evening the attendant profiled our group to the max went as far as to ask everyone a name that was camping. Then on Saturday it was just as bad when his wife asked how we were able to get 6 people into a Dodge Magnum. Park Rangers were called out on us for no reason the park rangers advised us to call the police and file a harassment report because we were be harassed. Will never go back.

We LOVE Longwood. It is always so peaceful and clean. All of the facilities are always clean and well taken care of. The Rangers, Gatehouse staff and cleaners are always smiling and so very polite. It honestly seems like a different world at Longwood, I think everyone feels it because there are smiles everywhere, people actually speak and acknowledge each other, have conversations and are relaxed. We are so excited to be coming back soon.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the excess to the lake. The host was very helpful and knowledgeable. Will be going back.

A beautiful and serene COE campground with large gravel campsites, very friendly helpful hosts and Rangers and clean shower houses. There are many inlets to camp right by the edge of the peaceful Roanoke River. Popular boat launch and Day Area are separate but close by. Stones throw to quaint Clarksville, VA which has a wonderful Main Street with restaurants, coffee shops, laundry, library and easy access to Tanner Education Center with ranger led tours and weekly events.

Beautiful COE park. Water pressure could be improved at the sites but other than that a wonderful campground.

Very nice attendants and helpful. The camp ground it's self was clean and orderly. How ever if some dog owners would be more responsible and more respectful of other campers our stay would have been much nicer

Beautiful, quiet campground. Well maintained. Our campsite was right on water in a cove.

Traveling and stopping for one night, why do you have to go online to reserve a spot with bad phone reception in the area, making a call to the phone number to reserve, no one answering while all along there is a attendant in the Campsite entry booth that is not allowed to make the reservation.This system results in a lot of frustration. Not good !!

Beautiful campground, friendly staff and the sites are well thought out. The sites are wide, lots of space between them, and they have grill tables. We will definitely stay again!

My second stay at Longwood, but wont be my last. Staff take great care of this facility, and are super friendly and helpful. The result is a clean and functional camping experience. I found the Bath house fixtures dated, but they were always clean and everything worked. Outhouses were clean and typically smelled fresh. My gravel site was large, level and blown, with no leftover trash from previous campers. It allowed me to focus on the beauty of this lakeside environment. This site has beachfront access and view.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
