Beautiful area with many camp spots right on the water. A excellent boat launch area. Very clean camp ground and facilities. Friendly Professional Staff. Will go back every chance I get. Love It.

The bathhouse is always clean, the sites are huge, we love the view and the staff is friendly and helpful!

Great place to stay! In the evening it was great to feed the horses in the field carrots - having a gas grill at the site was a nice perk, and the deck with chairs and table was a nice touch. Would definately go back - we had originally booked for just one night but booked a second night. Next time will stay longer

We were at site 46. Very shaded with good access to water. It was across from the septic field and there was a pretty strong smell at times. Other than that it was a very well kept campground. Will go back but at a different loop.

My experience at Long-wood is and always has been great. There was one exception this time. A Park Ranger stopped by my site one day and stated to me that I could not display a political flag. So with out any disagreement I removed my political flag and told him I was not aware of this rule. After returning back home I looked at the rules and regulations for Corp Of Engineers recreations (Camp Grounds) and could not find this any where. I would like for some one to call me or at least send me and e-mail showing me this regulation / rule. I feel it was just the Park Ranger that wanted it removed and not a regulation. Please clarify for me I do wish to follow all rules and regulations when I am at any of these facilities.

We truly enjoyed our week long tent camping trip. The site was large and private, plus there's access to the lake from most of the sites we saw. The front main bathhouse was clean with very hot showers. This campground gives you the opportunity to enjoy nature at it's finest. We definitely intend to return in the future!
