Rudds Creek Campground in Mecklenburg County is located 1 hr 18 min north of Wake Forest, NC with an elevation of 325 feet. There are a total of 98 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 92 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 73 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $24.00 to $68.00. Some amenities include shower, sewer hookup, playground, boat ramp, swimming, restroom, trash dumpster, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

Warm friendly greetings from the gate host. Clean restrooms and shower house. Smooth paved roads throughout the park. Campsite spacing was adequate for some privacy with plenty of shade.

Beautiful campsite. Great views of the lake. FairlyLevel site with a fair amount of privacy. 30 yards to the bath house. Very quiet and peaceful. Rained heavily one day and water pooled on the site,but it drained fairly quicklythey could use a couple more inches of gravel. Great dump station and it would be helpful if there were dumpsters on each loop.

The waterfront camp sites were wonderful with lots of shade & many had areas where children could swim or boats could be anchored.

So sad that we were told that we had to leave on day 4 of our 10 day planned vacation, because of flooding. Mother Nature had other plans . No spaces available to move to, so we had to pack up two tents, two campers, 2 EZ-up shelters, movie screen, pontoon boat, 4 kayaks, bicycles, and LOTS of kids toys and head home. We love Rudds Creek and will definitely return, but not on site 84D. In fact, Ive already booked a site for August. I was kinda surprised that I was not reimbursed for our full stay .Just the remaining days.

Naturally beautiful & well-maintained park. Bathroom toilets are residential-type with floating ball in tank flushing, requiring users to hold the flush lever down for an unusually long time. The site gravel is too large and uncomfortable under foot and could tear plastic-weave mats. I would like to have on-site trails in this beautiful environment.
