Almost impossible to get a preferred campsite. They are already gone by those who have computers..I often wait 20 t0 45 minutes for them to answer. The phone introduction takes 5 minutes or longer. Ridiculous!!! The campsites are all more than adequate. some larger than others

Our favorite park, the very best federal park out there. We had perfect weather even! Clean as always and overall, very well maintained.

We camped at this campground before and had a great time, but not so much the 2nd time when the weather was warmer.

Apparently it has spider/flea problems when the weather is nice and warm. This is a huge no-no for us since we do tent camp.
Also there were couple dogs running around our campsite unleashed and unattended all the time. We had no idea where they came from but judging from the way the dogs running in and out like their home I would think they have been roaming around the whole time.

One thing we really liked about this camp ground is the clean individual shower rooms. However, we accidentally left our shampoos and razor in there for few hours and everything was gone when we went back for it. The next day we ran into the cleaning crew and we asked if they happened to see our stuff and if they throw them away or keep them in lost and found, etc. We were told that they definitely saw the shampoos but they never ever touch those because they knew the owner will come back for it. Well, not in our case. Everything was stolen including the razor....who does that?!

I do wanna make this clear - the bad experiences that we had, none of them were the park's fault. It's really the visitors. They let the dogs run free and stealing things. Plus the spider/flea problem......I would not return to this camp ground again.
