It is a nice place but I would have thought it would have been maintained. There was cobwebs and leaves on the inside and on the tables.

Loved this campground. Sites are level, adequate water pressure, and clean campground. Being there the 4th of July weekend, the park was packed but stayed clean. Park host were nice and full of great information.

We have stayed there numerous times. Easy access off of Hwy 59 near Texarkana. Park host have always been very courteous. Sites are spacious and spread out. Don't expect to have great cell reception though. During our last two visits the ENTIRE park could definitely use some grass mowing and general grounds maintenance. It appeared that they were only mowing a few feet off each side of the road and just around the common areas (?). I'm not in to the 'Wilderness' look. It could be so much more if they'd just mow everything...and regularly (weekly).

Site was pretty level. Campground was well taken care of considering all of the rain. The lake was many feet over full but the site was high and dry. We could see the boat ramp that had a pier with a walkway that was usable until the evening before we left and then the walkway was in the water. Close to Atlanta State Park with a few hiking trails I think we managed to get 3 miles, nothing spectacular. Site was a little difficult for a 35 ft 5th wheel. They did have a disc golf course which was mostly shaded which means lots of trees but nice and well maintained very challenging.

This was our first time here!! It is a hidden gem. The landscaping is beautiful at the front entrance. Everywhere you turn you see deer. The site it's self was close to the swimming area. We enjoyed everyday there.

Please mow, at least around campsites. Grass and weeds that are knee tall are not acceptable.

Shade cover most of the day until middle/late afternoon. Two trees on the camper entrance side that might be tight for longer campers. Pad runs downhill to the road, so extra blocking may be needed.

Nice views. Beach wasnt bad, especially for a Texas lake. Bathrooms were not maintained unfortunately. Lot sizes were good and spacing not bad.

That lady at the gate house named Tammy is top notch! She needs a raise, a company truck and her own personal helicopter. She really is THAT good! Thanks Tammy for making our stay at Rocky Point a really nice experience. And if they do give you a helicopter will you take us for a ride???

Nice clean campsites, only thing , there is no places to leave boats on banks . Have to take boat in and out every time. Very nice people at the station . Need more sites with complete hookups

We like this place and enjoy staying here, but this trip the power kept going off. It might stay off 5 minutes or several hours. Then sometimes it would come back on and everything was fine and others it would trip my surge protector and I would have to go reset it. When we question the staff about it they didn't seem to know what was going on and one even didn't know that the power had gone out anytime.

Rocky Point Campground is another well planned COE camping/recreation area. Our site had water and electric. It was a level, back-in site, that was large and overlooking the lake. The lake is large and the area offers many recreational activities. We shopped for supplies in nearby Texarkana which was not far away. Talking with other campers, I discovered that this is a popular destination so you may want to book early.

Nice place to camp, Nice playground, clean, bathrooms need attention and there were so many leaves. You would walk through them and trip because of a hole you couldnt see.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
