This is my new go to campground for this area. Beautiful scenery and the camp host were all very helpful during the ice storm that went through. The deer and squirrels were a constant source of entertainment.

We love this park and stay here almost every year on our way south. The park is well maintained and the views of the lake at sunset are awesome. The camp host here are always friendly. This trip a camper lost their keys and several of the host and some campers did a thorough search to help out

Appreciate the cleanliness of the campground. The sites we used where very level. The only thing is there are no places to easily fish from the bank. A pier for fishing would be nice.

For me it's close to home, beautiful campground and lake. The gate attendants and rangers are friendly. We love cruising the park visiting with other campers.

Sites are not level. Bathrooms need help. Trees need to be inspected for age and cut down before they fall on trailers.

This campground is awesome. All of the employees at the gate are great. They constantly go around to check on the park on a regular basis, the park areas where you camp are kept very clean, the restrooms as well are very clean. We have stayed here several times and have never had an issue.

Site B-16: We were here in January 2022, for two weeks. We'll certainly stay again if we find ourselves roaming around in these parts. We enjoyed the 2.4 mile out and back trail, sometimes twice a day. It take one through an East Texas Piney Woods. There's also plenty of shoreline to walk about. Birds. Many birds. Birds on the water, birds in the forest, birds (Red Bellied Woodpeckers) in the Oak canopy above the campground. My wife works remotely (online) and was able to do so for the entire two weeks.

We were in site E222 R2. In site E221 R2 the people had 2 large pit bulls, they did not pick up after them. They parked a car on the grass only 3 feet from our camper. A request was made to the park host to address the situation but it never happened. We could not sit outside at our pick nick table for the smell of dog poop. We have three small dogs that we pickup after several times a day. We have poop bags that we use and deposit them in the dumpster. Please be aware that all requests fall on deaf ears.
