Our favorite campground, only thirty minutes from home. There are very few bad sites, with most being water front with great views. Most are shaded and level.

Had some issues with the shore power upon arrival, but the nice park attendant was super helpful and offered up an adapter to get us through our first night and had an electrician out first thing next morning that fixed the issue

The grounds looked unkempt. We stay there a lot but the grass, sites ect were not mowed or weeded trimmed. Looked very unkempt.

The site is pretty level (good enough for my tent) and there's plenty of room on the pad area, as well as off to the side. Water access is pretty good, there's a small drop-off but there are rocks you can use to walk down. It's fairly private, there's a decent amount of space between you and the neighbors. And there's a bathroom close by (toilets only, but a full bath house is a short walk from there). Be aware, I did encounter some ants and there was a skunk that thankfully just passed by my living area. Overall, it's a nice campground. I'll definitely go back.

Great campground with a beautiful setting. Right on Lake Hartwell and if you have a boat plenty of restaurants to tie your boat up at for meals, islands with beautiful beaches to pull up on to relax in the sun as well as quiet coves to anchor in to enjoy. Then go back to the campground to grill that perfect meal and enjoy spending time with friendly neighbors.

Oconee Point is a spacious campground with basically every site on the water. Most of the bath houses are up to date with a couple of exceptions. The staff was great and helpful and this is our favorite COE campground in upstate South Carolina. If there is a negative, it isnt about the specific park, but it is that the rates continue to go up every year without any upgrades to the facilities. Things go up, I understand, but I would like to see upgrades made to make it an even better experience.

This is our benchmark for campgrounds. The sites are well spaced and most offer reasonable shade, water access, and are mostly level. Over the air TV is good as is phone reception. Bathhouses are rather dated but well maintained. Dollar General just a few miles away, major shopping a bit further.

Always enjoy our stays at Oconee Point. The only negative is the condition of the roads in some places.

The reservation process was easy. Check-in was awesome. The Park Attendant asked if I had a Park access card and I do have a federal lifetime pass because of my veteran status and he immediately refunded me 50% of my fee. Reminded me to always use that card when booking. Every site here is on the water, I used the bath house and it was very clean. and the restrooms were well cleaned and stocked. It is a very peaceful place to stay. We plan to return next May.

We loved the camp spot and that we were able to swim directly in front of the site. It was nice being able to see the lake all day right from the camper. Fish and Paddle Board right there. It was gorgeous. The small area bathrooms with just the toilets were basic but fine. The showers really needed cleaning. This is the only complaint I have. Everything was great but they should hire someone to actually clean the bathrooms and clean them well. The park relies on volunteers which is nice and Im thankful for them being there. They were amazing and super friendly. Having someone paid to maintain the shower looks like it needs to be a must. If I were a volunteer I wouldnt want to have to clean those either they were just nasty. They really need a good scrubbing and you cant expect a volunteer to do that for free.

Check in and out was quick. The hosts were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The site was well designed and well taken care of. We would love to winter winter camp in Oconee Point. I wish you had some sites available during the winter. Thanks

COE campgrounds are pretty good. I've stayed in them for many years but I have to say they are on the decline. Shower houses are sub standard. Lack of privacy curtains. Lack of places to put your stuff while showering. The stalls themselves are caked with body dirt and oils. They are not cleaned. The cleaning crew only sprays a cleaning solution but that does nothing for the dirt.

We had site one which had the only full hookup site, the campground is beautiful and well cared for. Sites are spaced nicely to give everyone a little elbow room to have quite outdoor space. We didnt use the bathhouses so cant really say they were. We are planning another trip in the fall.

Great place large sites and friendly staff. Bath house was very nice and clean would recommend this campground to anyone looking for great place to go.
@MeredithP83327 · Camped on Jun 22, 2025 at Campsite #47
This is a beautiful state park with lots of shade to help keep the heat down and most of the sites are right on the lake. This is especially nice if you are like me and kayak and swim daily. My only complaint is that the sites are a bit close together. It would be nice to have a bit more privacy. And having doggie disposal bins strategically placed would be nice, but overall it 4 stars all around.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
