Great campground. Nice being right on the lake. Site 44 was amazing! Seemed most campsites were easy to get in to. The mens bathroom smelled like people were cleaning fish in there, but they were also cleaned every day so you could tell there was an effort to keep them clean. We will definitely camp here again.

The space was shady with easy access to the lake. There was plenty of space for our tent, vehicle, and pop-up canopy. The downside was everyone around us had dogs and the dogs barked a lot. The person next to us had a puppy that whined for hours at a time. We left a day early due to the dogs.

The bath houses could definitely use some upgrades! The lake sites needs to better maintained. When it rains the mud is horrible on some of the sites. Fresh gravel/stone should be added to site 12 especially.

I absolutely love this place. Its quiet. The facilities are really nice, the staff is SUPER sweet, and you get to sleep in a tent by a lake. Theres really not anything else to say. A note for (Verizon) coverage. It was unfortunately really good. I only say this because I was able to stream Game 3 of the Hurricanes/Panthers playoff game. I unfortunately saw the whole thing.

This park is the best. Great large spots. Quiet and fun

A nice campground, fortunately not far from home. Our site, # 46, was large and nicely shaded, although a bit of a challenge to level having a bit of side to side slant.

The host are friendly and talkative and the sites are large!

We LOVED our recent stay at Coneross Park! We booked last minute (literally 15 minutes before arriving) and had the good fortune to get site #8 which is a beautiful, HUGE, level, private lake front site. Coneross offers all the things we enjoy most about camping - plenty of places to walk, bike, and kayak! I liked that it had several loops and that some areas were flat while others had some slope to them (good for exercise). Many sites were available with direct and easy access to the lake, like site 8. Other sites sit up higher and offer stunning views but make it a bit harder to actually get in the lake if you wish to swim or boat.The campgrounds were clean and well-maintained, although we were not impressed with the bathhouses which were old and just not great. (Not an issue for us since we have our bathhouse with us! But, if you do use it, you will want to keep it in mind.) I do wish they had more access to garbage bins as the only ones are just as you are entering the campgrounds. It was an easy walk from our site, but would be a consideration if we had camped further in. Just something to consider.Primitive campers beware! The loop for tent sites is steep and access to the lake is limited. The bathhouse requires a walk up/down the hill. I would imagine there are other places on Hartwell Lake that are preferrable if you are a tent camper.Since we are seniors and have the America the Beautiful Lifetime Pass, it was only $19/night! Incredible value!!! We look forward to coming back again!

Nice place, but no soap or towels in the bathroom to wash and dry your hands.

Enjoying the Lakeside views and quiet atmosphere is a great experience

Very quiet and peaceful. Our site could be improved with grading so that it is level. Nice view of the lake.
@GaryC9619428 · Camped on Sep 12, 2024 at Campsite #54
We love the campground. But our spot number 54 could use some leveling to get your camper level. You would be taking up too much of your campsite.
@ROCKYM1241666 · Camped on Sep 12, 2024 at Campsite #74
Very good view of the water, and plenty of space. The parking area isn't very level though. I had to use about 4" of leveling blocks

Absolutely lovely park! The layout is perfect for bike riding and the views are spectacular. The staff are friendly and fun. The bathrooms are clean, the one near 30A needs some updating. But overall, nice. 39A is a unique site. Provided by make a wish. Cement pad and walkway that leads to a cement dock of sorts with guardrails. The end is made for wheelchair guests to be able to fish. So thoughtful. The water had been drawn down so low that it wasn't fish able during our stay. I look forward to going back when the water is up. I was sad to learn Coneross is only open 5 months each year. We camp year round and would love to have at least half the camp open during the winter. I truly recommend Coneross! You will love it!

This is a beautiful park. The sites are very big and level. The lake is absolutely stunning and is a wonderful place for boating.We also enjoyed the quiet and walking among the huge trees. If we are in the area in the future, we would definitely stay here again.

Staff are friendly. Campsites are well maintained and facilities are kept mostly clean for all the foot traffic. Sites are spacious with plenty of room. We are never disappointed. Water is lower compared to usual.

Campground was perfect, my camping trip was a bad one but it wasnt anything bad or that was from the campground , just had a lot of equipment breakdowns, but overall the experience at the campsite or campground was great, thanks

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
