The campground is quite large. The bathrooms are older, but heated and functional with flush toilets and soap for the sinks. Showers are seasonally open at the camp store, inside of the mens/womens restrooms. Theyre $5 in quarters for 10 minutes. It would be nice to have a shorter, cheaper shower option (like $3 for 5 minutes)

Excellent tent camping location

The campground was nice, the views were beautiful. We just happened to have the worst campsite in the entire place. G102. It is terrible. Parking is a pretty deep sloped spot. The camping spot is on a rocky hill and to be honest needs to be redone. Everything about the site was awful. Small, uneven, mostly a hill.so uneven you couldnt even put chairs by the fire. It needs to be scrapped and made more amenable or combined with another spot. You are sleeping on an angled incline with hardly any space to put a tent.

Beautiful, convenient, and tidy. Note that the tent-only sites are down a steep-incline.

Campsite check-in was easy and ranger provided helpful map and information. The walk in sites had designated parking spots and the bathrooms were a short walk away. Each site included a bear proof container that easily fit a 55qt cooler and more. The camp store was well stocked with firewood and other camping essentials including sleeping bags and cooking stoves. The showers are also located at the camp store and costs $5 for 10 minutes. There are coin machines outside the showers. Doyle's river falls trail and blackrock summit are nearby and worth the hikes.

I didn't appreciate the nastygram left by the ranger for parking in what appeared to be a natural driveway, though not paved. As a usual backpacking camper, not car camper I made an honest mistake. If it was such a priority the area should be roped off.

We were at end of season and as a result it was cold, but we do love Loft Mountain. It's not as crowded as Big Meadows but has more support than, say, Lewis Mountain.

The campground is in a nice location. It was well kept, and the bath houses have a dish sink with hot water!

We always love Loft Mountain campground. Been going there for 25 years or more. The Shenandoah's feel like home. It is all dry camping with water, bathrooms and a dump station available. Very peaceful, much wildlife at times....deer will often visit your campsite. One recommendations I have is the pay showers are a pain to use. You must insert quarters ($5.00 worth) one at a time for a 10 minute shower. The showers had nice hot water but the shower/bathroom had no heat on and it was very cold. We were there this year the last week of October and it turned very rainy, windy and foggy, but you never know, the weather changes a lot up on the mountain. It would be nice to have at least electric and some internet/cell service but when you go there but you need to be ready to disconnect which can be a good thing sometimes. Overall Loft Mountain Campground is on the top of our camping list.

Beautiful campground, amazing views in the fall! Our spot (C092) lacked privacy, but that seemed to be the case with a lot of the sites due to leaves being off trees already. Surprisingly had decent phone service (Visible/Verizon). The camp store nearby was fantastic and had everything we could have possible needed (wood, camping supplies, souvenirs, etc)! Highly recommend this campground, just research the spots or get there in time for the first come, first serve spots around the edges.

Still a great weekend in this campground.You can hike Doyles river/Jones run loop or big run from the campground, hiking without driving is a big plus.

Pretty good campground that is close to the entrance. That means there are a lot of cars coming in on the weekend. The area was a bit smaller than we anticipated, but pretty flat. We originally wanted to use a tent that connected to the trunk of the car. Wasn't able to do that with the way the car was parked so we just set up the 6 person tent on the pavement. We could still fit another car in the driveway. There are campsites on either side that are decently close so you can hear conversations, but there's still some trees and shrubs between us for a little bit of privacy. The bear box was very helpful and large in keeping our stuff. Nearest bathrooms are about a 5 min walk away.

Amazing location on top of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Multiple clean and warm bathrooms, good recycling and camp store. Drive to shower was different, and 5$ for 10 min not worth it. These are usually free, so we skipped till next spot. Would stay again.

If you have never visited Loft Mt campground, bring extra leveling blocks or prepare to change to a flatter site!

Great campground. Restrooms very clean. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Only negative is the road noise, but it is what it is.

We stayed at one of the tent sites just off the A loop. Unfortunately we had to park in a small lot and walk to the site, but it wasnt a far distance so we didnt really mind. For some reason our site didnt have a tent pad like all the other ones which was kind of strange. Other than that, the site was pretty quiet with a nice view through the trees. The bathrooms were clean and pretty nice. We spent quite a bit of time in there because of how cold, windy and rainy it was when we were visiting!

Site was very nice. Had a great time. As tent campers, site was just right. We hit the Riprap trail and visited the camp store when we got back which was convenient. Overall, a great trip.

Our site (C098) was nice and peaceful. It has a connecting path to the neighboring site (C097) but both have their own separate bear boxes. If you are camping in a large group, it would make sense to reserve both.

Visited during gov shutdown. Everything was clean and well maintained. Light staff but polite, helpful and professional.

The area was nice and in a good location. I did not consider and did not know if information was available about the incline in our site. We have a van so we do not have levelers. We had a pretty steep incline.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
