This is an excellent spot at Loft Mountain. It felt private even though all the sites around it were full. It's big enough to put 3 four person tents if you have that many campers. The restroom is a short walk away.

We had a fantastic time on Loft Mountain. Ranger Rachel was a huge help in figuring out first come first served spots and the store was an incredible amenity!

Such a great campground! Our little damp site was around others but still felt secluded which was nice. Super easy walks around the whole campsite, but also could drive to the hikes you wanted to do. We stayed at F175 which was close to the bathrooms (but not too close) and we didnt have a bear box like all the other sites around us, but we just kept food in our cars. F175 is also a bit rocky on the ground so bring sleeping pads for extra comfort.

All campgrounds in SNP are relatively compressed (cramped) but for me Loft is the best. Group space 1 is divided into two spaces - one VERY angled spot for a trailer and a flat, open space next to other group sites. Our 24 trailer had its nose on the ground to level it. The best sites are on the interior loops. Sites are VERY close to the bathrooms so I would avoid those. The rangers and hosts were great, the nature was incredible, the views all you could want. Just go in expecting close quarters!

The site was in good condition although the ground was uneven. We went as part of a backpacking trek which I wouldn't do again for this particular campsite. I would do this site again for car camping if I had an air mattress instead of a sleeping pad and I wouldn't do it again on a holiday weekend as it got noisy during Labor Day weekend.

This is a nice, well-maintained campground. It was full the weekend we stayed, but we didn't feel like we were on top of other campsites. We very much enjoyed the evening program lead by one of the rangers about the history of the park.

Nice campground, is slightly more rustic than big meadow. Zero cell service (tmobile) at site, decent service 50 feet away. Bathroom clean. No shower in bathroom, did have pay showers at camp store.

Last August, I visited Loft Mountain Campground for the first time. The staff were very friendly. The restrooms were plentiful and well-maintained, which was nice.The tables on the site were made of metal, not wood, which made them very clean and comfortable to use.The trash receptacles and trash dumpsters were conveniently located throughout the campground, and they were also well-maintained and clean.The only inconvenience was that the utility sink area was a bit cramped.The natural scenery was, without a doubt, breathtaking. I would definitely visit again.

Multiple large groups making noise until 3AM both nights we were there. Zero enforcement by SNP, overall a very miserable experience. Zero enforcement by SNP staff.

Small compared to other sites

The campground was clean and well ran. However our group felt the showers were quite expensive ($5/10mins) for a mediocre experience. Otherwise well mapped and easy to navigate. Will likely return!

Our campsite (D108) was the perfect size, offering a little bit of privacy as well. The bear cages are a good touch and very spacious. Nice fire pit, and firewood at the Campstore is $10 for a decent sized bundle. We attended an educational ranger talk at the amphitheater next to the most beautiful view at sunset! Easy walk to clean bathrooms, amphitheater, and the Appalachian Trail.

Loft Mountain Campground was great. The park rangers were very helpful and friendly. The campsites are taken care of and the camp store was great and fully stocked with gear and food. The bathrooms were fairly clean but could use a little attention. The sink in utility room is great for rinsing dishes, accept we didnt discover this until day 2. I didnt associate utility room with a sink/wash area. Overall, we had a great time with great access to trails, waterfalls, and lots of wildlife. Wonderful experience!

Loft Mountain Campground was beautiful! The rangers did an excellent job of providing educational content for all ages. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. With limited generator hours, it kept the campground quiet. It was a wonderful weekend!

Great spot in the heart of the national park! Only has access to a few trails so if you plan on hiking have transportation. Sites are spacious and private

This was my first trip to Loft Mountain. I was interested in how it compared to Big Meadows. Big Meadows campground is open with big trees, here you are in a thicker forest setting with more privacy. They have the same amenities here as Big Meadows, but they are a little further away. Fewer showers and clothes washers. The camp store here has food so you do not have to go to the wayside unless you want the restaurant. No bugs or insects during my visit.

Campground was large with a variety of sites. Site was a little overgrown but not terrible. The AT runs right along the campground with a lot of great views from the trail. Camp store convenient and well stocked.

No water no showers no bathrooms. Water pump broke and these amenities were shut down and ranger claims no refunds are valid

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
