Great place to camp

Wonderful, peaceful. The only thing I would change is much larger holes In the fire pits. Starting and keeping a fire going was a constant battle. The fire wasn't getting enough oxygen.

Beautiful campsite. Would go back again. Nice to have the lake nearby. A quick one-night stay so no real opportunity to check it all out except to walk around the lake first thing in the morning. Actual camp site was quiet and clean, and surprisingly some level of cellular reception (1 bar).

Really large camping pad with a bear box, long picnic table and fire ring . Plenty of space between each site in this loop of the campground . Would camp here again!

The Sherando Lake Campground is a lovely park in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We enjoyed hiking fishing, swimming, and enjoying the amazing surroundings. The park was well cared for, camp hosts were helpful and facilities were great. Come prepared to not have cell service, but we found it great to unplug.

Sherando Lake is an amazing family vacation spot. Our kids stay busy all day with the lake and the sandy beach. We can watch them from the shade in the grassy area. There is also a creek area where they can catch salamanders and several hiking areas. The campsites are a great size with volunteer hosts who are always friendly and helpful. We've camped here over 10 times as our children have grown and have always had an amazing time.

Lovely park with beautiful, level campsites, clean bath houses, and beach and lake for swimming and fishing. Camp hosts were wonderful as well.

This park is so beautiful! It was super clean. The bath house is clean and bright and close by camp. All the people were super friendly. I loved it. Will definitely camp here again.

The campground was nice, well kept and clean. The bathrooms were as clean as they could possibly be considering they're a few years old

Mostly wooded area campsites. There is NO Cell service and it is well posted at online reservation time. We loved seeing families just having fun and not carrying a phone to be connected . Lake had good swimming and bath houses clean. Buy wood before get to park. Peaceful, fireflies, evening campfires. A perfect two days for us. Will plan for longer next time..

Our second time, and except for the 98 temps, it was wonderful

Beautiful, clean campground with lots of hiking and a refreshing lake.

We camped in the A loop, nonelectric. The campsite was excellent: clean, level, nice gravel bed, wooded, spacious, and good distances between campsite. The volunteers do an excellent job.

Great campground. Everything was clean, well-organized, and in a great location. The Torry Ridge Trail is a good hike to do from the campground. If you get rained on like we did, it's a short drive into Wintergreen, where the weather could be different. I would stay here again.

Sherando Lake is a "get away from connectivity" camping experience. I had no cell, TV or internet service. This left more time for hiking and socializing with family and friends. Sites and bath house were clean and very well kept thanks to our very active camp host.

One of our favorite campgrounds. The lake is stunning, the sites are spacious, and the trails are great for running and hiking.

Still our favorite camping spot, after 40 plus years! Staff was great and we had a great family gathering with time at the lakes and even a nice largemouth bass caught (and returned) in the upper lake.

My wife and I had not been to Sherando in about 25 years, but enjoyed our return. Our tent site on the A loop was well laid out and had plenty of room for two tents, including a large one. Because there were steps from the campsite to the car, the food storage cabinet was extremely useful and saved numerous trips back and forth. The trail we took to Torry Ridge was in good shape and very passable with good signage.The only fault we could find was the lack of a camp store with ice available. The nearest store is 9 miles away towards Waynesboro.

Peaceful stay, well kept facilities, lots to dohiking, swimming, kayaking on the little lake, playground for kids, fishing in the lakes. No cell coverage unless you climb up to Tory Ridge (a challenging mile climb).

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
