The facilities were clean and operating as designed. The Camp host was friendly and helpful. The trails were great to hike and the park is very close to the Blue Ridge parkway which was a beautiful drive and had some great trails off of it as well. I hope to return in the future.

Very nice campground, quiet and set away from most of the park. Camping site was clean and well equipped with bear box and a few tables. Bathrooms were well kept. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

It was a very nice stay. The site we had was neat, clean and spacious. The only downside was that the quiet was disturbed by machine noise of the leaf blower that the camp host was constantly using. As I said the site was clean of leaves but at the cost of quiet.

We have lived in Lake Sherandos backyard in Wintergreen for years but have rarely ventured there. Car camped the first weekend of October and our experience was outstanding. Campgrounds and bathhouses very nice as was the volunteer staff.

Great campsite, clean bathrooms, some nice hiking trails and close to Shenandoah

There we campers who continued playing seriously loud music until 2 am in the morning in the tent camp area, this after 3 other campers asked them politely to turn their music down at 11pm. They were clearly intoxicated and became verbaly abusive and angry when asked to do so. It became clear to rather leave them alone as their behavoiur was unpredictable.

Best site in the entire campground. The only negativemy reservation indicated two vehicles and two people. The second car arrived 3 hours behind me and the gate refused to let them in without paying the eight dollar day fee.And of course, with no cell service, it was impossible for them to reach me.

A-Loop is where its at! Love the easy walk to the lake, which is perfect for paddle boarding. Very dog friendly, good short hikes. Close drive to breweries and other activities if you're looking for that. There is no cell service which is a huge plus for me, great time to disconnect.

What a beautiful place. Our site was more than adequate and we enjoyed watching deer in the nearby field, and many birds. Had a wonderful swim in the lake, met lovely fellow-campers who gave us excellent tips about things to see in Charlottesville. Can't wait to come back.

An absolutely wonderful vacation. The park is beautiful, peaceful and exceptionally clean. All staff and volunteers were friendly and very helpful. We met a very kind camp host named Kevin and his sidekick Elvis. Kevin went above and beyond to make sure our stay was both interesting and enjoyable. We are looking forward to going back and hoping Kevin and Elvis will be there also.

One of the best things about the campsite besides the cleanliness, atmosphere and space of campsites, is the fact there is no WiFi. Families can enjoy nature and each other without mindless distractions like a phone or iPad. Dont ever change, we look forward to this trip every year. Amazingly the kids never complain about no WiFi, and actually enjoy a real camping experience.

Sherando is a hidden gem! Water and electricity and the National Senior discount. It's beautiful and well maintained. We'll be back whenever we travel in that direction. I highly recommend it.

I love Sherando Lake! I like fishing at the lake. I like camping there. It's a great family friendly place. It's not just for camping you can go and have a picnic or a cookout or hang out at the water. But if you do go camping you can choose from a variety of different campsites. Some with electricity and RV hookup stuff and some that are just tent only sites up in the woods. It's really a great Park. Even the campsites that are tent only still come with bear boxes to store food, fire rings, And picnic tables. I sometimes can't by myself and feel very safe there. Other campers are usually very friendly but respectful of your space. And the staff in the park is great and visible.

Beautiful park and grounds. Clean rest rooms and showers. Nice camp sites. Only issues were the showers are like pressure washers. Be warned the shop doesnt sell ice or firewood or anything for camping or use in the lakes, so dont leave anything home since the park is far from almost everywhere. Fortunately the park is really nice frequent programs at amphitheatre awesome swimming and fishing. Lots of trails. Awesome camp hosts as well.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
