We camped at San Antonio Campground near Jemez Springs, which appears to be close to native lands a really cool area to explore. Theres no cell service, so make sure to plan ahead.The campground itself was really nice and peaceful. We had a fire the first night and picked up some supplies at a nearby convenience store just a short 23 minute drive away. It rained both nights of our stay, so we spent the second night in our van, which was a short walk from our campsite.There was plenty of space for hammocks, and the area felt very serene. The nearby bathrooms were a great bonus. The only minor downside is that the road above the campground is somewhat close, so you do hear occasional traffic, though it was pretty sparse.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely camp here again!

Beautiful area. Lots of trees and nature with water close by.

You listed potable water as available at the San Antonio campground. We took this as the truth and showed up with a dry camper to a dry campground. You had turned the water off TWO DAYS PRIOR to our arrival and didnt tell anyone. Because of this, my wife, myself and my dog spent an ENTIRE DAY of our vacation driving back to Albuquerque to get water. I returned home to find an email sent AFTER we departed, but there is NO CELL COVERAGE in or near San Antonio campground, so it had no effect.If you plan to turn off the water to a campsite that is listed to have potable water, you need to do that WEEKS IN-ADVANCE OF THAT ACTION!You owe me a day of vacation.

Water was shut off the day we arrived. No problem had we had known ahead of time, but nothing was posted on website or at time of reservation. Other than that campground was well kept and a great place to stay.

San Antonio campground was great! The campground was super clean when we arrived, there was a full size picnic table, barbecue grill and fire pit with a fold up grill. The parking spot was large and convenient to unload all our gear. Bathrooms were close by and there's a trail through the site next to the creek. Everything was well kept and we had a sign on the site stating our reservation time frame. The hiking and fishing near by are incredible and the views are breathtaking!

James does an excellent job at keeping the campground clean and safe. He even shooed away some cattle roaming through the campsite.

First, the aroma of the tall pines is wonderful.Thus is the best USFS campground weve visited: clean, quiet, good amenities such as water and elegant level sites

James and Rita the camp hosts were very friendly and they keep the camp very clean. Met some very nice people there. Love this campground. I used to come with my parents a long time ago

The camp ground is awesome and the hosts were very helpful. However if you book space #9 the pad is at an incline and youll have a heck of a time getting level if you have a trailer. We ended up moving our 25 foot trailer to another spot in the campground that had a cancellation. We were about to just go home!!!!

What a beautiful campground! Clean and well-laid out. Fantastic views. I was in Space 10 which was nice and secluded, though some on the other side of the campground road were even nicer with terrific views. While it was a little noisy at times (mostly when folks were arriving and trying to park their rigs) a short walk down the hill drowned all that out. (The sites were also close to the main road which had enough traffic to be annoying at times.)There is a very nice, wheelchair accessible walking path that runs along the creek. There are multiple footpaths running from the walking path to the creek's edge. Because of how the light changes throughout the day, you can go for several hikes through the property that will seem new each time. If you want a longer hike without driving somewhere, there is access to a property across the road that is partially private property, but as long as you're respectful, you're welcome to hike around.The campground could make a great base camp for excursions to other trailheads, the Valles Caldera, or Jemez Springs if you want to do the hot springs or grab a beer and some pizza.The campground is also very close to Amanda's store if you need supplies, and they have free wifi there so you can use wifi calling if you don't have service. (I have T-Mobile and had no service, but I think Verizon might be available.) I was there on a solo trip, but plan to return with my wife next year. I was there in mid-September; nice warm days and chilly nights, perfect for a campfire.

You are not allowed to pitch your tent on the grass. You have to pitch it in gravel.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
