Great campground in the Jemez Mountains. Site was clean and close to the bathrooms. Hosts (James and Rita) were awesome and had great recommendations. We loved visiting the village of Jemez Springs, where they have a hot spring bath house! Los Alamos is also close and convenient for groceries. Just be aware there are no showers and the toilets are pit toilets. Would definitely go back!

This is one of our favorite campgrounds in the Jemez Mountains. We booked site #5 far in advance, which was necessary since it's an electric site that is much in demand. Hosts were available, friendly and helpful - the problem we encountered was not their fault. That problem was that there was no water available at the time. Now, I fully understand if a campground is still undergoing water testing and they are just not able to provide water yet, but there should have been advance notice of this. I called the ranger district office the day before check-in and they informed me that water "should be available." Unfortunately, it was not and we did not receive an alert email about it until the day AFTER we checked in. Campground is great! Communication between district management and Recreation.gov users...not so good. Sites here are of ample size (we had a 34' RV) and well cared for. Campground is quiet, pet-friendly, and there's a great walk along and down to San Antonio Creek. We'll stay here again...and make sure to bring water.

Site 5 was left dirty from prior reservations. Host left fire pit with mostly burnt wood, area wasnt cleaned or raked, actually there was NO HOST.

No camp host available most of the day. The site was full of trash in the fire ring and grills. People are not leashing their dogs and not being told anything, mainly because the camp hosts are not there. Large dogs are being allowed to roam free while people with small dogs have their dogs on leashes. The gate should be closed like it used to be to avoid the random pass throughs. There have been several thefts reported of camp equipment. The bathrooms are filthy and not being maintained. Witnessed sites being occupied past check out time and people cant set up when they come in. The power only worked on the opposite side of pole and breaker kept flipping when I used my a/c.

Camp ground is nice but the fire pit was full of dirt and ashes. It did not appear our site was cleaned for several weeks. The only time we saw the camp host was when our kids showed up and we were working on properly parking cars. They were there in An instant to tell us to move a car but they couldn’t find the time o cleaN the site. What a shame.

Need a camp host. Our campsite was not very clean. My water connection was cracked from the winter. Had to use my water that I brought from Albuquerque. Trash cans were overflowing.

Bathrooms were very stinky but that is how it is I guess.

Fishing was bad. Someone said they don't stock the river at the campground which is very sad.
