Large flat plot with room for big tents or several small tents, which is rare at the campsite. Nicely shaded and not too far from bathroom. Unfortunately no kitchen sink and potable water. Road behind the site is kinda noisy but less than I expected.

Ocean view campsites are the best!

One of the most beautiful campsite locations in America. while loops ABC are more densely, wooded and provide More shelter and a forest- like Campground experience, DEF Are pretty amazing in their own right. Site E11 is footsteps away from the cliff side overlooking the beach. Spectacular cmping experience.

Site D030 had amazing views and was somewhat exposed to the ocean breeze which made putting up our tent a smidge harder than normal. Of course, the ocean view more than made up for that fact.

The reduction in force for the Park Service Rangers and contractors is very obvious. The Rangers that are left are going over and beyond expectations to meet the needs of the campers. We heard two great evening presentations and spoke to another Ranger who was working very long hours to cover all the things that about three Rangers would have done in the past. And without the contractors the toilet faculties were not being serviced at all, making their use unpleasant. But the experience at Kalaloch was still great just because it is a great campground and the beach is wonderful. Don't fail to walk the nature trail across the highway. That's as much a part of the great experience of Kalaloch as the beach.

The campground is a beautiful spot in the trees. The beach is cool with tons of driftwood and the tree of life.

The campground is great and access to the beach is the best. The only downside is that campsite D002 is NOT an RV site. The pad is so sloped that youre not getting anywhere close to level unless you have hydraulic lifts, which we did not. Fortunately our traveling companions did, so we traded spots with them. Aside from that, the site is very nice and spacious.

We ended up staying in this campsite somewhat by chance, but it was such an ideal and beautiful camping spot, we hope to come back annually now!

Kalaloch is a sprawling campground, but the campsites are generously spaced out so that you still feel like youre relatively secluded from other campers. There was surprisingly little noise after dark given the number of campsites that were occupied. The restroom facilities were also clean just no hand soap! Easy access to the beach. There are some campsites facing the ocean with no vegetative obstruction. Reservations were very difficult to obtain regardless of the location of the campsite. Nevertheless, we noted numerous empty sites with reserved notices posted at their entrance but which remained unoccupied throughout the night and morning. Maybe the automatic cancellation deadline should go into effect at midnight on the day the reservation begins rather than noon on the following day. Seems overly generous given the demand for campsites. Access to First, Second, Third, and Fourth Beach up the road made for some nice variety as far as sunbathing, beachcombing, and tide pooling were concerned. I give this campground high marks overall.

Kalaloch is hard to beat as far as camping on the Olympic Peninsula goes - the proximity of all sites to the beach is just awesome. Reservations fill up fast for the summer but recommend using availability alerts and something should come up!

The campsites are well maintained, the ranger talks were a highlight! The beach access was convenient. We were disappointed there was no soap in the restroom (C loop) and the restroom in A loop was closed. Only one bathroom stall had toilet paper half way through our 3 day stay. Theres also graffiti on the traffic sign directly across from the beach access closest to A loop - seems like something the campsite should take care of right away to discourage more graffiti. We will come back, but hoping some of these maintenance issues are improved next time!

Nice and calm camping spot. Close to the road bit still quiet at night. Beautiful beach.

The bathroom facility closest to this site is also used by the day users, which makes it busy. You can walk a little further to two other facilities. This also means its close to the beach access entrance, which is nice (but also noisy). The site is small relative to the other beach adjacent sites, with little privacy - but its overlooking the beach! Camped in a rooftop tent, so we had a perfect view. Would recommend for a short stay.

This place is really really nice for a getaway, lots of beach time and viewing of tree of life. Such a magical place!

Campsite was great but extremely close to the next one. The bathrooms are in extreme need of repairs.

Spent 1 night in 034. Nice campsite, great location - near the beach trail, bathrooms, and water. NOT on the bluff side, with a campsite behind it (so, not the most private). Bathrooms were functional but VERY tired and old. Would definitely camp at Kalaloch again!

Please help us maintain the park by keeping a clean and secure (coyotes) campsite at all times.

This campground had way too many sites for the area. Sites were tiny and packed in close. The beachfront sites may have been better, but our site was in the middle of one of the loops. The location of the campground was great, but we ended up leaving before spending the night because it was just too many people condensed into a small area.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
