A beautiful stay the location could not have been more perfect we watched the sun go down over the ocean and ate breakfast with a bald eagle right above our site. Close to the tree of life entrance and a relaxing walk on the beach.

This spot is fine, although it's a bit close to other spots. The main issue is that it's right across the road from some kind of a pump that turns on at random times (like 9pm or 5am) and is audible even through earplugs.

Campsites are nice. Bathrooms need updating. 2 stalls for all the campsites in the loop isn't enough. Great to be steps away from the beach.

Excellent campsite right by the ocean you can hear it even if your site is not right on the ocean.

Nice private sites. But there is road noise, THE DUMP station is not included in site cost (never saw that before), and the bathrooms were FILTHY.

Small site with limited view due to untrimmed bushes when were there. However, it is only a short walk to beach access.

Amazing location right on the beach. Campsites are clean and well maintained

One of the bathrooms was out of order, which is a problem. However, the bigger issue is the overgrown sites. Theres no way to park multiple vehicles as advertised. The beach was barely visible from the site, even though the photos showed a much better view. The site description claims that the campsite is flat, but its not!If the site is open, I suggest you take some time to maintain it.

Beautiful place to camp and enjoy walks on the beach and access to hiking nearby.

One bathroom was out, but the Park Ranger was an incredibly good, friendly, and helpful person who knew the answer to every question our group had. Really appreciate her!

Amazing views and a nice beach.

Site E001 worked well for me and my dog but would be quite small for a family tent. It is a parallel parking situation so vehicle is close to the road. Nice to hear the ocean waves!

Simple camping on the coast. We had a pathway to an ocean view in site A-11 which took securing 6 mos to the minute ahead of time. But there were free spots when we arrived the Tuesday after Memorial Day. We walked a few hundred feet south to the beach access from which we could walk the beach below our site. Heads up to anyone interested in Tidal Pool exploring. We had no cell signal but had pulled the tide schedule ahead of time and knew from our trusty National Park book that the nearest great spot was north at Beach 4, just north of mile marker 160. Take the path down to the beach and then get yourself to the big rock outcroppings to the right. The pools and rocks have more sea stars and anemones than those direction in front of the path.

What a beautiful campground! We very much enjoyed the beauty and being close to the beach. It was almost full, but we hardly noticed we had neighbors due to the vegetation and quiet surroundings. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We hope to return someday.

The view was incredible and it was awesome to sleep near the ocean. The campsites were relatively private although they were a little bit overgrown. There was one non-working bathroom facility while we were there, but there was another one close by. One downside of the bathroom facilities are that there are no showers. There is a store a couple miles down the road to get everything you need minus the ice machine being broken. Overall, the stay was great and we would consider coming back!

Amazing campground which quick access to the beach, toilets could have been cleaner but hey, we are outdoors so can't get everything
@katier7966535 · Camped on May 23, 2025 at Campsite #A48
Spots near the road (predictably) have road noise, would reserve closer to the ocean. But overall a great experience, easy beach access, clean
@JohnR2194126 · Camped on May 22, 2025 at Campsite #B15
The campsite was clean. Most bathrooms were open and clean. Other campers were courteous and respectful.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
