This is our 32nd year camping at Kalaloch. We love it there.

Nice site in the middle of C loop surrounded by trees on three sides. Plenty of space to fit multiple tents and a canopy. Site comes with a fire pit and a concrete picnic table. Parking is 'street side' as opposed to a pull-in space; an RV would not fit here. Bathrooms and water are a 1-minute walk. The beach is a 2-3 minute walk away. The sound of the ocean is apparent in the campsite but you are far enough away for it to not be overpowering. You can hear cars passing on the highway but we did not find it to be an issue.

I have been going to Kalaloch for over 70 years. The park used to be maintained very nicely however, today and for the past eight years this park has gone downhill. The sites are not maintained. The brush is overgrown weeds are everywhere. Theres no fresh rock to level the sites out, and the ashes are not cleared out of the fire pits this year. The fire pits were last used in August years before they werent used all summer and they were never emptied until the day after reservations ended. The only good thing about Kalaloch is that the bathrooms are very clean greatly appreciate those maintenance girls who clean the restrooms the compost is a joke. He does nothing and he has to be right whenever theres a discussion with the guest not with me, but Ive witnessed it with a bunch of guests having discussions with him while we were there The Campos worries if your tires are 1 inch over onto the main part of the road, but theres no way to get any closer then we rented another site to put the vehicle in and in case our daughters came for the weekend and he said we cant do that I think some of us that weve been coming for so long no the rules a little bit better than him not saying Im a no at all, but he is just not the right person in my eyes to be a host for a beautiful park I wish and I pray that somebody can start maintaining the park on a regular Basis. My husband and I keep saying we would love to go there in volunteer just to clean it up and theres no excuse why this cannot be done daily. They can blow an edge a little bit of the overgrown grass where people wanna put chairs around the campfire and blow the needles off of the site But the camp the Rangers and the hose say why do it we would just have to do it every day obviously they dont want that part to be beautiful like it has been in the years

Legit right next to the bathroom so that was very convenient at night or early mornings. The steps to the beach by campsite A19 is less than a 3 min walk. This was very helpful and encouraging to spend more time at the beach while you're at the campground. I even had good enough service to Facetime so for beginners or people who are figuring out their way into nature, this is an easier spot to blend into. The campsite isn't the most private, but had enough space to feel like you're alone depending on how you set up. All in all a great campsite in my opinion for ease of access! Definitely go and see the Tree of life while you can and dont miss sunset on the beach of course.

This is my 2nd time being here (1st time being 7 yrs ago) and it is still a great campground and the beach itself is beautiful.

Great campsite by the water

Loved the privacy hedge around my tent site. Snagged an oceanfront spot and had a wonderful sleep listening to the ocean. campground was quiet, well-kept, and had easy access to the beach. LOVED it, despite it's being in a part of the park that is pretty far from other things.
@JacobM7775883 · Camped on Sep 8, 2025 at Campsite #A61
The campground and campsites are incredibly beautiful and right near the ocean. There is some noise from the highway, they don't have showers, and there bathrooms were run down with no soap or mechanism for washing your hands.
@Catherine23373 · Camped on Sep 7, 2025 at Campsite #A62
Beautiful well kept sites, bathroom and fresh water facilities are clean and abundant and access to the glorious pacific coast is less than a 5 minute walk. Im already planning another visit.

Bring soap for the bathroom and container for water to have at your campsite . Probably the most walkable and beautiful each in Washington.
@RebeccaH696815 · Camped on Sep 4, 2025 at Campsite #A40
This was a great campground! Our site was clean and we loved the location to so many beaches and access to trails. Only negatives were some campers had fires when there was a fire ban and no hand soap in the bathroom though we did have our own.
@JamesG6676411 · Camped on Sep 2, 2025 at Campsite #F10
Our campsite was nice. Other amenities were not up to normal expectations, lowering our rating. The camp water source for our end of the campground was turned off. We had to get water from the dump station. The hand dryer in the womens bathroom did not work. The faucets in the mens bathroom worked occasionally. The camp office was closed both days we were there. Budget cuts and layoffs are creating a negative experience in our national parks. Very sad situation.

Large flat plot with room for big tents or several small tents, which is rare at the campsite. Nicely shaded and not too far from bathroom. Unfortunately no kitchen sink and potable water. Road behind the site is kinda noisy but less than I expected.

Ocean view campsites are the best!
@BetzalelBE5DFE · Camped on Sep 1, 2025 at Campsite #E11
One of the most beautiful campsite locations in America. while loops ABC are more densely, wooded and provide More shelter and a forest- like Campground experience, DEF Are pretty amazing in their own right. Site E11 is footsteps away from the cliff side overlooking the beach. Spectacular cmping experience.

Best ocean view
@PamelaH2928754 · Camped on Aug 30, 2025 at Campsite #D30
Site D030 had amazing views and was somewhat exposed to the ocean breeze which made putting up our tent a smidge harder than normal. Of course, the ocean view more than made up for that fact.
@MikeR7257230 · Camped on Aug 29, 2025 at Campsite #C5
The reduction in force for the Park Service Rangers and contractors is very obvious. The Rangers that are left are going over and beyond expectations to meet the needs of the campers. We heard two great evening presentations and spoke to another Ranger who was working very long hours to cover all the things that about three Rangers would have done in the past. And without the contractors the toilet faculties were not being serviced at all, making their use unpleasant. But the experience at Kalaloch was still great just because it is a great campground and the beach is wonderful. Don't fail to walk the nature trail across the highway. That's as much a part of the great experience of Kalaloch as the beach.

The campground is a beautiful spot in the trees. The beach is cool with tons of driftwood and the tree of life.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
