Clean campsite and bathrooms (with hot water). A cool cloudy day, uncrowded. One of our favorite spots on the coast.

The campground is nice because of it's proximity to the beach and tree of life, but I didn't have the best stay. Site D16 was very close to the road and their was car traffic noise the whole night. Once it was dark, our neighbors at the campsite across from us set up a big light on their camper and started playing a bocce ball game that involved throwing plastic balls on the paved road over and over again -- it was loud and annoying, especially since they only started after dark when there was not much to do except go to bed (since campfires weren't allowed). I would also like to request that the campground add soap dispensers to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were otherwise nice.

The park employee at check in was extremely helpful in helping us find a site that would accommodate our camper van. The campground was very nice, perfect location for a day on the nearby beaches!

Great beach location. Trees helped shelter us from rain. Miles of beach access for walking. Was a little close to the road.

Don't let D16's location near the bathroom or road turn you off. Great spot in that loop!

The experience REALLY depends on the site at this campground. The road-side sites are small, close together, and hard to get in and out of (not to mention road noise and campfire smoke). The beach side sites are mainly awesome-great views, easier access, less smoke. If Id have had one of those sites Id probably give the campground 4 instead of 2.

We loved it here! Will make it a go-to camping spot. We had one of the sites by the road which wasn't a big deal overnight and we were still surrounded by big old beautiful trees. Walking distance from the Lodge if you need firewood/supply/a cocktail from the bar. Would recommend booking early for an ocean view spot. Someone stole our wood which was a bummer but other than that positive experience!

Campsite is right next to the road, where large trucks pass at high speeds. It would shake our entire tent and kept us up all night,

Beach setting. Even though we were closer to the road, it wasn't super loud from road traffic and felt private. The bathrooms felt new and were very clean with water close by.
