Great little campground, sitting right on beautiful Quinault Lake! Sites are smallish, but most are very private and the scenery is top notch. Flush toilets but no showers. Picnic tables right on the beach. One of my favorite locations. Highly recommended!

Even early October was beautiful. Fewer people around and trails still very accessible. Nice to have clean restrooms with cold running water. We heard loon calls that were kind of spooky. Saw a herd of elk.

Willaby is a clean and beautiful campground. Lots of trees so very shady and difficult to get cell service or satellite. I loved how we were overseeing the lake and access to trails right from the campsite was great! We switched from #20 since the parking was sloping and some of us were sleeping in a van to #5(?). Beautiful view of the lake from the site but not much privacy from #4. For a group, the two would be stellar.

We had a great night at the Willaby Campground! It was two humans plus our dog, and all three of us loved it. The campground was well maintained, and the hosts were great. The lake and grounds were gorgeous. Well definitely return!

Gorgeous view of lake Quinault and sunset over lake. Nice bathrooms, well kept and clean. Site was TINY and we were worried wed fall down the cliff getting out of our tent at night as the tent spot butted up to the edge of the drop off. Beautiful though!

Beautiful campground. Campsite was nicely private, could hear but barely see nearby camp sites. The beach was a short walk away & water was warm enough for a swim. Rainforest trails & trail along lake to lodge were very nice.

There are five gigantic trees advertised in the area on posters. Unfortunately, we only found one (the World's Largest Spruce), so it's best not to look. The information posters seem to be outdated.

A beautiful area where I have camped for the last ten years.

Beautiful trees and views. But on one night, the double site next to the beach was full of loud neighbors that drank and shouted well past the quiet hours. Unfortunately, the camp host was off duty so there was no one to ask them to stop disturbing the rest of us.

Fantastic campground. One of the most quiet and relaxing places Ive been to. Theres a little noise from the road on occasion but that dies down in the evening. My criticisms are few. The tent pads and my site were both small. Ive got a 2 person Nemo Porch 2p tent, and I had to sort of rig it together to fit. When they say the tent pads are 10X10 they arent kidding. Lastly the water worked for the toilets, but not the sinks? I dont get that. These small criticisms aside, go and enjoy this amazing campground.

The campsites were really noce but very small. The view and lake was gorgeous. Bathrooms need a little attention.

Intimate campground, our site #18 was away from the lake but we enjoyed it's privacy, even with hiking down steps to get to the site. We are in our 70's and tent campers. Nearest bathroom had no hot water but did have a flush toilet, and was a short hill to get to. Main bathroom had a soap dispenser. Lake was warm enough to cool off in. Tiny mosquitoes in August, but not as bad as we're had elsewhere. Great little 1/2 mile nature walk right from the campground, in the most pristine, gorgeous area of the Olympic Rain Forest. Near enough to the coast to go for a picnic for the day. We will be back!

Beautiful and clean camping spot! Easy access to hiking trail. Very quiet.

Stayed at site #3. Had a nice tent pad that was level. Couldn't see the lake from our campsite but had a nice parking lot you could drive down to it. Bathrooms were very nice near our campsite, had regular flush toilets and sinks. Would love to stay here again.

One of the best campsites Ive been to! So much privacy and great facilities! Juliana, our ranger, was incredibly helpful and kind! I hope to come back soon!

Like most campgrounds, other campers make or break your experience. While this one is not crowded, if you are at any of the sites along the water the sites behind you are on hill and everything they do is clearly heard (ie, music until 1am). Really stinky bathroom, kind of gross but not the worst I've seen. The positives outweighed those things though! Views of the lake are pretty and you are close to both trails and the Lodge's facilities (ie, bathroom if you need it) and gift shop. The loons on the lake were really cool to hear at night. We were at 006 and the lakeside trail ends at the site, which means lots of foot traffic ten feet away, but also close to the trail, so that's both good and bad. If you wanted a similar lakefront site, I'd choose 007 for more quiet.

Willaby is a nice campground with reasonably separated campsites, a small - but decent- beach, and some nice trails right there. It is also a good jumping-off spot to other activities in the area.Con: Willaby can be a challenging campground for less than fully able bodied people. Pay attention to the site information!
@LauraK9305494 · Camped on Jun 29, 2025 at Campsite #19
The Willaby Campground in general is pretty nice. Each site is far enough apart that you can only kind of see a neighbor. The beach isn't gigantic, but nice enough. We had bad boat noise one day, but the rest were fine. There a couple of trails you can access right from the campground, and the maps are very good.The 3 stars is specifically for site 19, and more specifically for Recreation.gov not providing adequate information about the site in the site details. It says "hike in distance: 25". It doesn't say that it is 25 mostly steep steps down to the tent pad and then another 13 steps to the picnic table and fire pit. On the plus side... the bathrooms on this side of camp are much nicer than the ones by the beach. The parking for this site is also reasonably long. We could easily fit our full-size truck. It could fit 2 smaller vehicles.

I loved hiking the trails. The site was wonderful and the facilities were well-maintained. Thank you!

Easy to find campground, overlooking lake, campsite is level, just minites to gas station and store, clean restroom, onsite trails, can swim on the lake after a long day hikes, sites have privacy

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
