Stayed at site #3. Had a nice tent pad that was level. Couldn't see the lake from our campsite but had a nice parking lot you could drive down to it. Bathrooms were very nice near our campsite, had regular flush toilets and sinks. Would love to stay here again.

One of the best campsites Ive been to! So much privacy and great facilities! Juliana, our ranger, was incredibly helpful and kind! I hope to come back soon!

Like most campgrounds, other campers make or break your experience. While this one is not crowded, if you are at any of the sites along the water the sites behind you are on hill and everything they do is clearly heard (ie, music until 1am). Really stinky bathroom, kind of gross but not the worst I've seen. The positives outweighed those things though! Views of the lake are pretty and you are close to both trails and the Lodge's facilities (ie, bathroom if you need it) and gift shop. The loons on the lake were really cool to hear at night. We were at 006 and the lakeside trail ends at the site, which means lots of foot traffic ten feet away, but also close to the trail, so that's both good and bad. If you wanted a similar lakefront site, I'd choose 007 for more quiet.

Willaby is a nice campground with reasonably separated campsites, a small - but decent- beach, and some nice trails right there. It is also a good jumping-off spot to other activities in the area.Con: Willaby can be a challenging campground for less than fully able bodied people. Pay attention to the site information!

The Willaby Campground in general is pretty nice. Each site is far enough apart that you can only kind of see a neighbor. The beach isn't gigantic, but nice enough. We had bad boat noise one day, but the rest were fine. There a couple of trails you can access right from the campground, and the maps are very good.The 3 stars is specifically for site 19, and more specifically for Recreation.gov not providing adequate information about the site in the site details. It says "hike in distance: 25". It doesn't say that it is 25 mostly steep steps down to the tent pad and then another 13 steps to the picnic table and fire pit. On the plus side... the bathrooms on this side of camp are much nicer than the ones by the beach. The parking for this site is also reasonably long. We could easily fit our full-size truck. It could fit 2 smaller vehicles.

I loved hiking the trails. The site was wonderful and the facilities were well-maintained. Thank you!

Easy to find campground, overlooking lake, campsite is level, just minites to gas station and store, clean restroom, onsite trails, can swim on the lake after a long day hikes, sites have privacy

Location was good. Olympic National Park pass was not needed and no one to verify. No ranger available for any assistance nor any contacts incase of emergency

Lake Quinault is so beautiful, it obviously makes the experience. As for the campground, the bathrooms were a bit run down. I think they're well-maintained in the sense that they're clean, so local staff does their job well. But they really need to be renovated.

Beautiful view of the lake. There was no phone service, about which was I was very happy.

Campsites are near the water with beautiful sunset views well distributed for privacy and generally quiet. So many short and long hikes in the area. The lodge is worth a walk through. I just love the peaceful lake front.

Right on the lake, quiet, beautiful. Will stay again

This was our first time camping at Willaby, we reserved site #19. There were about 30 steps down to the campsite itself, which helped seclude it a bit. Take note of the tent pad size. Our tent was too big for the space so we had to set it up as best we could (our fault). However, the boat(?) noises from the lake. Exceptionally loud, sounded as if they were racing or something. Very difficult to disconnect with a surrounding environment such as that. Probably wont return to this campground. Lake was great though!

Stayed in site #15 which was nice and spacious compared to the other sites near by. It is right next to the day use area which can be disturbing with people launching the boats into the lake bright and early in the morning. The camp host wasnt very friendly and didnt seem to inforce rules. Site 13 had at least 10 people with 3 vehicles, 1 was parked on the road the entire weekend, and several other sites had multiple vehicles. The hand dryer was broken in the bathroom closet to our site and the 2nd bathroom was out of order. Overall it is a nice campground with walking trails and waterfalls.

I bit of a long drive, but great campsite. Really quiet, with lots of hikes.

The campground was easy to get to and our tent site was very pleasant. No complaints except the bathroom was a bit gross tho not really dirty and the hand dryer was broken. A short trek to the lakeside and the view was pretty. We didn't see the 'beach' for swimming until we were on our way out. We hadn't seen any signs to direct us there.We knew it was going to rain but the predicted light rain turned into a downpour so we left early and lost our reservation money-oh well. We definitely plan to go again when good weather returns.

Location is beautiful and campground overall is very good. Easy access to the lake. Flush toilet restroom seems old and run-down (moldy smell) plus it ran out of toilet paper when we were there.

Beautiful campsite, maybe best on the grounds. Spacious; Quiet (surely this depends on your neighbors at the time); clean; trailhead immediately adjacent. There are stairs down to site (as pictured on this webpage), so not accessible, and last stair was double height watch out! both of us nearly biffed on this. The bathrooms were basic, a bit run down, but adequate. All in all very satisfied.

We stayed in Site 12 and it was lovely. 90 second walk (with our toddler, no less) to the lush, mossy, hiking trail (with waterfall and bridge right at the beginning, much to his delight!), and a few steps further to the smooth-pebbled beach , where we enjoyed hours of relaxation and play time. The campground is small and being situation on a slope allows for a great deal of privacy. The bathrooms are convenient and the potable water tap is also easy to access. Some sites looked like they'd be too small for our massive 6-person Wonderland tent but site 12 wasn't. The nearby hiking trails, lodge, and World's Largest Sitka Spruce were big hits to drive to too. I had practically zero cell service with my AT&T-supported iPhone most places on the campground, but peculiarly my spouse with his AT&T- supported Samsung had occasional bars. I would give this 5 stars even despite the absolutely horrible mosquitoes at our camp site (they weren't bad by the lake though!), but the extremely noisy speed boats on Lake Quinault each day we were there made literally even talking to each other difficult; I've reached out to the forest service to see if they knew if there was an event happening that weekend or something that made this truly oppressive and cacophonous interference a one-time thing. We will not revisit this campground if the speed boats are a typical occurrence.

This was the best campground/site Ive ever stayed at. Very clean and well kept. The only downside was the restroom location being at the end of the campground and the other restroom on the upper half of the ground being out of service. We really lucked out with weather as a local shop employee informed us of poor weather up until the day we arrived. The grounds are beautiful, the lake was much warmer than I was expecting (warm enough to swim in if youre acclimated to the PNW), and so much to explore! When it was time to pack up and head out, we were sad to leave and wished we booked more than 3 days for our trip. We will absolutely be returning for more fun next summer!

Such a beautiful little campground! The spots are decently spaced and everyone was respectful of quiet hours. We saw a lovely sunset and incredible fog over the lake in the morning.

This is a fantastic campground: beautiful and well-cared for, the lake is gorgeous. Perfectly clean bathrooms and easy access to trash and water facilities. My only note is that this campsite is located directly across from the bathrooms, so you can see the lights from the bathrooms and hear the surprisingly loud hand dryers. The dryers are less of an issue as the night goes on; the lights never go off.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
